  If the light on your Kewaunee Ventilation Hood isn't turning on, there might be a few reasons. First, ensure the hood is receiving power and the wiring connections from the control panel to the light are secure. Also, check that the power supply switch is in the “ON” position. It's also possible the intensity is set too low, so try pressing the intensity button several times. Finally, try pressing the on/off button again, followed by the intensity button.

  If the sash stop on your Kewaunee Ventilation Hood isn't retracting, start by checking that the green light on the control panel illuminates when you press the sash release button. If it doesn't, ensure the hood and control panel are receiving power. Make sure the sash isn't pressed against the stop. Also, verify the solenoid mechanism is working correctly by checking the wiring connections from the control panel to the solenoid. Access the solenoid on the left side of the hood, behind the end panel, and check that it's pulling straight and not binding. Test the solenoid to see if it activates when not attached to the hood. If the solenoid and latch are binding, contact Kewaunee for a replacement.

  If your Kewaunee Ventilation Hood's sash return isn't releasing from the upper position (R1 Option Only), first check that the green light on the control panel illuminates when you press the sash release button; if not, ensure the hood and control have power. Confirm the sash is fully raised to engage the upper sash stop. Inspect the solenoid mechanism: check wiring connections, access the solenoid on the right side behind the end panel, and ensure it's pulling straight without binding. Test the solenoid's activation when unattached. If binding occurs, contact Kewaunee for a replacement. Also, verify the Sash Return Option was included with your hood.
