Start a New Journey in 2022
Tips:
1.WIFI signal interferes with Bluetooth signal to some
extent, so bluetooth receiver cannot be too close to WIFI
signal source.
2. It is not necessary to insert and remove the shaft body
with great force. When you find that the shaft body needs
great force, it may be misaligned, please stop the operation,
otherwise the hot plug base will be damaged, or the solder
pad will fall off and the PCB will be directly discarded.
Matters needing attention:

Lithium battery is built into the product. It is strictly
forbidden to place the product in high temperature, high
pressure and direct sunlight. If not used for a long time,
please store the keyboard in a cool and dry environment,
and turn off the power switch.

The original charging cable must be used to connect the
USB port of the computer for charging, and the charging
current should be less than 1A.

This document outlines the features and operational guidelines for the Keydous NJ80-AP keyboard, a versatile input device designed for a new journey in 2022. It supports multiple connection modes, including Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, and wired, offering flexibility for various user scenarios.

Function Description

The Keydous NJ80-AP is a mechanical keyboard that offers a range of functionalities tailored for both productivity and aesthetic customization. It features hot-swappable switches, allowing users to easily change out key switches without soldering. The keyboard integrates a knob for convenient volume control and mute functions. Its lighting system is highly customizable, offering multiple backlight modes, colors, and effects. The device also includes specific modes for different operating systems, such as MAC mode, to optimize key mappings.

Usage Features

Bluetooth Pairing:

To initiate Bluetooth pairing, first ensure the power switch at the bottom of the keyboard is turned on. Press and hold the FN+1 key for 3 seconds; the keyboard will enter pairing mode, indicated by the digit 1 blinking. On your mobile device or computer, search for and select "BT5.0KB" (or "BT3.0KB" for Win7 systems) to complete the connection. The keyboard supports connecting up to three Bluetooth devices. To connect a second device, hold FN+2 for 3 seconds, and for a third device, hold FN+3 for 3 seconds, following the same pairing procedure. Once multiple devices are connected, you can switch between them by pressing FN+1, FN+2, or FN+3.

2.4G Wireless Pairing:

For 2.4G wireless operation, turn on the keyboard's power switch. Short press FN+4, and the 4 key light will flash. Insert the receiver into a USB port on your computer, and the keyboard will be ready for use.

Lighting Operations:

The keyboard offers extensive lighting customization. Press FN+ESC to switch between different light/backlight modes. FN+ENTER changes the backlight color. To turn lights off or on, press FN+Backspace; this also activates a power-saving mode when lights are off. FN+\ | cycles through various lamp effect modes, including light waves, ripples, raindrops, serpentine, follow, aggregation, sine wave, colorful springs, flowers, laser, peaks and turns, colorful vertical and horizontal, breathing, and neon. For custom light modes, press FN+~ and then FN+ESC to exit. The Caps Lock indicator is case-sensitive and its color can be changed with FN+Caps, but it does not participate in the general lighting effects.

Brightness and Speed Control:

Adjust brightness by pressing FN+direction up (increase) or FN+direction down (decrease). Control the speed of lighting effects with FN+direction left (slow) or FN+direction right (fast).

Sleep Mode:

FN+Tab allows you to switch the sleep time for the lights. If the Caps light blinks once, the lights will sleep after 2 minutes of inactivity. If it blinks twice, the system will sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Battery Indicator:

The F12 button serves as a battery indicator. A red breathing light signifies low battery. While charging, it breathes green, and once fully charged, it returns to its original color.

FN Key Operations:

Beyond lighting, FN key combinations provide access to various functions:

• FN+1/2/3: Switch to Bluetooth mode.
• FN+4: Switch to 2.4G mode.
• FN+5: Switch to wired mode.
• FN+F10: Mute.
• FN+F11: Volume down.
• FN+F12: Volume up.
• FN+Pgup: Home.
• FN+Pgdn: End.
• FN+I: Insert.
• FN+L: Browse the web.
• FN+C: My computer.
• FN+P: Print.
• FN+Win: Lock/unlock the Win key.

Knob Operations:

The integrated knob provides intuitive control:

• Turn left: Decrease volume.
• Turn right: Increase volume.
• Press down: Mute/unmute.

MAC Mode:

For MAC users, press and hold FN+M for 2 seconds to enter MAC mode (indicated by blinking lights). In this mode, Alt and Win keys are swapped, and the right Alt key becomes Win, while the right CTRL key becomes Alt. To exit MAC mode, hold FN+M for 2 seconds again. Within MAC mode, FN+F switches between multimedia keys and standard keys in the F zone.

Driver Mode:

The keyboard supports driver programming software, which can be used in plug-in mode or wireless 2.4G mode for advanced customization.

Maintenance Features

General Tips:

• WIFI and Bluetooth Interference: Be aware that WIFI signals can interfere with Bluetooth. To minimize this, avoid placing the Bluetooth receiver too close to a WIFI signal source.
• Hot-Swap Switches: When inserting or removing key switches, avoid using excessive force. If a switch feels difficult to insert, it may be misaligned. Forcing it can damage the hot-plug base, cause solder pads to fall off, or render the PCB unusable.

Matters Needing Attention:

• Lithium Battery Care: The product contains a built-in lithium battery. Do not expose the keyboard to high temperatures, high pressure, or direct sunlight. For long-term storage, keep the keyboard in a cool, dry environment and turn off the power switch.
• Charging: Always use the original charging cable to connect to a computer's USB port for charging. The charging current should be less than 1A to prevent damage to the battery and device.

Restore Factory Settings:

To restore the keyboard to its factory default settings, simultaneously press the four corner keys (ESC, Left CTRL, F12, and right arrow) for 3 seconds.
