Mounting:
Choose a
structurally
sound
location
to mount your KICKER
powered subwoofer enclosure. Carefully
check the areas where the mounting straps
will be
placed.
Make sure the mounting screws
will
not puncture
the gas tank/brake
lines/wiring or interfere with any mechanical
parts on the underside of the mounting surface.
Choose a location
that
allows
at
least
4"

of open
ventilation
for the
amplifier.
If
possible, mount the
enclosure
in
the
climate-controlled
passenger compartment.
Vented Enclosures:
Do not obstruct the vent opening, and make sure you
leave
at
least
4"

of space
around the vent.
When
mounting the
enclosure
in
the extreme rear of the
vehicle,
point the woofer toward the
front of the
vehicle
for
optimal
bass.
Conversely,
if
the
enclosure
is
going to be mounted
closer
to the back
seat, pointing the woofer toward the rear of the
vehicle will
give you the best
results.
If
it
is
more convenient to
mount the enclosure along
a side
wall,
put the
enclosure
on the
left
side of the
vehicle;
this orientation
will make
the vent point toward the rear of the
vehicle
for
optimal
bass output.
