REGULATING
THE
THREAD
TENSION
For
ordinary
stitching,
the
tension
of
the
upper
and
lower
thread
should
be
equal
so
as
to
lock
both
threads
in
the
center
of
the
fabric.
The
tension
of
the
bobbin
thread
is
regulated
by
means
of
the
tension
screw,
but
it is
preferable
to
keep
it
rather
weak.
Once
it
is
regulated,
the
perfect
stitch
can
be
obtained
by
adjusting
the
tension
of
upper
thread
by increasing
or
decreasing
the
tension.
