cloth or sponge and dry thoroughly. Never immerse unit or cord in water or other
liquid, and do not allow water to get into the unit.
• The filter basket and permanent filter, as well as the ceramic mug are dishwasher
safe. It is recommended to place them in the top rack only.
• Fill mug with cool water and pour into the water reservoir. The ceramic mug
supplied with this coffee maker is intended for brewing a 12 ounce cup of
coffee.
• Place mug on drip tray, plug unit into electrical outlet and switch ON by pressing the
ON/OFF button.
• Run one cycle with water only to flush the system and remove any packaging dust.
Note: The amount of brewed coffee will measure slightly less than the original
water due to absorption of water by the coffee grounds.
BREWING COFFEE
• With power switch in the OFF position push the button on the water reservoir lid.
The lid will be released to the open position.
• Using the ceramic mug, or a measuring cup, fill with the appropriate amount of cold
water. There are water level markings on the inside of the water reservoir for 8, 10,
12 or 14 ounce cups. If using the mug provided with this machine, DO NOT
exceed
12 fluid ounces. If using your own mug, DO NOT EXCEED 14 ounces.
• Pour the water into water reservoir.
• Place the permanent filter into the filter basket, and add coffee grounds. Follow the
recommended coffee to water ratio of the coffee manufacturer.
• Gently shake filter to spread coffee evenly.
• Ensure that the water shower head is positioned over the permanent filter. Close
lid. Lid should click into locked position.
• Place ceramic mug on drip tray, plug in, and press the power switch to the ON
position.
• Allow the coffee to finish dripping from the unit before removing the ceramic mug.
• Press power switch to the OFF position when brew cycle is complete.
• CAUTION: Be careful when opening the water reservoir lid after brewing as this
area is hot and steam may be present.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance requires little maintenance. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do
not open or remove the bottom cover of unit. It contains no user serviceable parts.
Do not try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualified personnel if servicing is needed.
