When to charge the battery
RemovethebatteryfromtheKitchenAidcordlessapplianceforchargingwhenconvenientfor
you,anytimebatteryindicatorlightsshowlessthan25%batteryliferemaining(ie.onlyonelight
remaininginthebatteryindicatorbar),orwhenbatteryhasbeencompletelydrained.
Batteriesdonotdevelopa“memory”whenchargedafteronlyapartialdischarge.Itisnot
necessarytorundownthebatterybeforeplacingitonthecharger.
•UsethechargeindicatorbarontheKitchenAidcordlessappliancetodetermine
whentochargeyourLi-Ionbattery.
•Youcan“top-off”yourbattery’schargebeforestartingalongsessionofuse.
•Chargethebatteryasneeded.TheonlytimeitisnecessarytochargetheLi-Ionbatteryiswhen
thebatteryhasreachedtheendofitscharge.Tosignaltheendofthecharge,theKitchenAid
cordlessappliancewillnolongerdisplayanylightsinthebatteryindicatorbaraftertheunit
isunlockedorthebatteryisrstinsertedintothecordlessappliance.
IMPORTANT:Newbatteriesmustbechargedbeforerstuse.
Alwaysdisposeofyourbatteryaccordingtolocalregulations.Contactarecyclingagencyinyour
areaforrecyclinglocations.Evendischargedbatteriescontainsomeenergy.Beforedisposing,use
electricaltapetocovertheterminalstopreventthebatteryfromshorting,whichcouldcausea
reorexplosion.
