Please allow sufficient time for the appliance to cool down after use before planning to clean, at least 30
minutes.
The appliance is not designed to be dismantled by an unqualified technician.
Cleaning of the unit should only be attempted with a slightly damp soapy cloth. Care must be taken to ensure
that the cloth is sufficiently dry and will not leave any standing water.
After wetting down with the soapy cloth.
Dry with a dry paper towel.
Do not use abrasive cleaning materials.
Before First Use
Before use, remove all packaging and inspect the appliance for any damage. If there appears to be any damage, please
take the unit back to place of purchase for a replacement.
Operating Instructions
Before use:
Always ensure that the appliance is on a level surface and stable before operating.
Before using your spiral stove or hot plate for the first time, turn the spiral stove or hot plate to the highest
setting (position 5) and let it stand 3 to 5 minutes. This allows the special pre-use protective coating burn off.
Ensure nothing is on the spiral stove or hot plate and the lid (if applicable with this model) is raised or off.
Note: A bit of smoke and smell is normal.
Daily use:
The work surface must be heat resistant, dry and approx. 30” or 75cm high.
A gap of at least 2” or 5cm must be left around the sides of the appliance as the sides may become hot during
use.
For best results, use a saucepan or pot the same size as the hotplate.
Always use a flat bottomed saucepan so it makes good contact with the hotplate.
Only use with the lid raised.
Turn the temperature controller between 2 and 5 and adjust during cooking as needed.
The indicator light on the appliance will turn on to indicate that the unit is heating.
The indicator light on the appliance will turn off when it reaches the selected temperature.
To keep food warm:
a) Turn the dial to 2 to maintain food at a constant warm temperature.
b) Turn the dial to 0(OFF) and food will stay warm for up to 30 minutes, as the plate gradually cools down.
c) Turn the dial to 5 for maxim heating operation.
Description on Knob
0 = OFF, 1 is minimum temperature, 5 is the maximum temperature.
When not in use. Be sure to turn the dial to OFF and disconnected from the power outlet.
Only lower the lid when the spiral stove or hot plate has cooled down.
Daily use:
Use only stainless steel, aluminium and ceramic pots and pans. NOT GLASSARE TO BE USED..
Use cooking pots or pans that have a flat base.
The diameter of the pan base needs to be a little bigger than the diameter of the spiral stove or hot plate.
Do not use with any base that will stick so the cooker, is concave or uneven.
