Usage Features
The manual outlines several key features and recommendations for optimal use:
- Mounting Flexibility: The air compressor can be mounted in any position, though mounting it upside down is not recommended as it may lead to overheating and efficiency loss.
- Wiring Recommendations:
- The red power wire should be as short as possible, and a larger gauge wire (12 ga, minimum) should be used to minimize voltage loss.
- A solid ground connection is crucial to minimize increased current draw.
- The power circuit for the compressor should be fused, with the fuse located as close to the battery as possible.
- It is recommended to use a "switched" power source that triggers a relay to turn the compressor on/off via a pressure switch.
- The pressure switch used must be rated for the compressor's working pressure.
- Integrated Check Valve: The compressor's stainless steel braided leader hose includes a built-in check valve, and it is not recommended to remove this hose.
- Thermal Overload Protection: Compressors are equipped with a thermal overload protection circuit that automatically resets after approximately 30 minutes of inactivity if the unit overheats.
- Battery Protection: To prevent over-discharge of the vehicle's battery and ensure optimal compressor performance, the vehicle's engine should be running while the compressor is operating.
- Included Accessories: The package includes mounting hardware (M5 hex head bolts, nuts, washers, lock washers), an air filter housing with an installed filter element, assorted fittings, air tubing for remote filter installation (snorkel), a leader hose bracket clip, and two replacement air filter elements.
Maintenance Features
The manual emphasizes several important maintenance and safety points:
- Heat Warning: Users should NOT touch the compressor, stainless steel hose, or fittings during or immediately after use, as they can become VERY HOT.
- No Lubrication: The compressor is designed to be oil-less and should NOT be lubricated with any oil or lubricant.
- Air Filter Maintenance: The air filter element should be examined and replaced as needed.
- Mounting Hardware: The compressor mounting hardware should be periodically checked and tightened as needed.

Kleinn Automotive Accessories provides a limited defect warranty for this product. When properly installed and used under normal conditions, the product is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for one year from the purchase date to the original purchaser. The warranty does not cover abuse, operation inconsistent with the product's design, or damage from exposure to the elements. If a defect is deemed "under warranty," Kleinn will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product free of charge. Kleinn is not responsible for any installation charges, loss, or damage incurred during the replacement or repair of a warranted product.
