D. Stabilization outriggers
2 outriggers on either side of the vehicle, level with the column, increase the stability of the carrier.
The outriggers are controlled from the platform control station.
The green indicator lights either side of the control joystick come on when the corresponding
outrigger is extended sufficiently. It must then not be extended any further in any circumstances.
In no case must the wheels of the carrier vehicle lift off the ground
Under the control joystick, a yellow indicator light indicates when at
least one of the outriggers is not totally withdrawn.
On the fly boom, directly facing the
operator, there is a spirit level. Operate the
outriggers so that the bubble is as close as
possible to the 0° mark.
