What to do if air leaks out of my Klutch 62249 hose?

  If air is leaking from your Klutch Tools hose, it's likely that the hose is broken. To fix this, you should replace the hose. Here’s how: 1. Disconnect the air source. 2. Pull out all of the old hose and latch the reel; secure the drum for added safety. 3. Carefully disconnect the hose from the male fitting in the axle’s center and remove the old hose. 4. Insert the new hose through the roller bracket and feed it through the opening in the center of the drum hub. 5. Apply thread tape to the fitting in the axle’s center, then screw the hose onto the fitting and tighten. 6. Install the hose stopper on the other end of the hose. 7. Carefully release the drum latch and slowly allow the hose to wind onto the reel.

Use Teflon tape or thread sealant on the swivel threads and reconnect the swivel with the axle. 6. Use Teflon tape or thread sealant on the inlet supply hose threads and reconnect it to the swivel. 7. Pressurize the system and check for leaks.

  If the spring on your Klutch Tools isn't working well, it probably needs tension adjustment. To adjust the spring tension: 1. Pull out approximately 6 feet of hose and allow the drum to latch. 2. Remove the hose stopper from the hose and feed the hose back through the guide. 3. To increase tension, wrap the pulled hose one time around the drum; to decrease tension, un-wrap the hose one time from the drum. 4. Re-insert the hose through the guide and install the stopper onto the hose end. 5. Unlatch the drum and check the tension. Pull the hose from the reel, and adjust the stopper position if necessary.
