    • Program Operating: LED display shows "" with the activated function indicator lit.
    • Keep-warm: LED display shows "0H" with the time counting up, and the "Keep Warm" function indicator lit.
  • Operation Keys:
    • Taste: Adjusts cooking duration for most functions (except Sauté) between "Low", "Medium", and "High" modes.
    • Delay Timer: Used to preset cooking start times, ranging from 30 minutes to 15 hours. This function is not applicable to "Keep Warm" and "Sauté".
    • Keep warm/Cancel: Cancels any active program or puts the cooker into standby. When in standby, pressing this key activates the keep-warm program.
  • Cooking Preparation:
    1. Opening the Lid: Rotate the lid handle approximately 30 degrees clockwise until the unlock mark on the lid aligns with the mark on the cooker housing rim.
    2. Checking Parts: Ensure the float valve and exhaust valve are free of obstructions, the sealing ring is properly seated, the anti-block shield is installed, and the float valve moves freely.
    3. Filling: The total amount of food and water should not exceed the MAX level (2/3 full). For expanding foods like rice or dried vegetables, do not fill over 1/2 full to prevent clogging and excess pressure.
    4. Placing Inner Pot: Ensure the inner pot is clean and dry on the outside, and rotate it slightly inside the housing for good contact with the heating element.
    5. Closing the Lid: Align the lock mark on the lid with the mark on the housing rim, then rotate the lid counterclockwise approximately 30 degrees until the lock mark aligns with the mark on the housing rim. An audible sound indicates correct locking.
    6. Power Connection: Attach the power cord and plug into a socket. The display will show "--" indicating standby.
    7. Exhaust Valve: For pressure cooking functions (except "Keep-Warm" on "Sauté"), turn the valve handle to the right, pointing away from the steam symbol, to close the exhaust valve. The exhaust valve is designed to be loose.
  • Pressure Cooking:
    1. Select a cooking function (e.g., "Rice"). The indicator light for the selected function will illuminate.
    2. Adjust cooking duration using the "Taste" key if needed within 10 seconds of selecting a function.
    3. Cooking starts automatically 10 seconds after the last key press, indicated by "" on the LED display during pre-heating.
    4. Steam may escape from the float valve until it pops up, which is normal as pressure builds.
    5. To cancel a program, press "Keep warm/Cancel".
    6. Upon completion, the cooker beeps and enters the Auto "Keep Warm" Cycle ("0H" on display). Cooked rice should not be left in keep-warm state for too long.
  • Safe Lid Opening (after cooking):
    1. Ensure the program is complete or terminated.
    2. Unplug the cooker.
    3. Allow the cooker to cool until the float valve drops (10-14 minutes).
    4. Once the float valve is down, open the exhaust valve by turning the handle left towards the steam symbol.
    5. Hold the lid handle and turn the lid right until the unlock symbol aligns with the lid position mark.
    6. Lift the lid off. Do not force open if pressurized.
  • Quick Release (for cooling down):
    1. Place a wet towel on the lid to speed cooling.
    2. Slowly open the exhaust valve by turning the handle left towards the steam symbol. Keep hands and face away from escaping steam.
    3. Not suitable for large liquid volumes or high-starch foods, as food may be expelled.
  • Sauté Function:
    1. Keep the lid open to prevent pressure buildup.
    2. Press the "Sauté" key. The maximum operation time for one cycle is 20 minutes.
    3. Heating starts automatically after 10 seconds, with time counting down on the LED display.
    4. The "Sauté" program can be cancelled with "Keep warm/Cancel".
    5. After cooking, the cooker beeps and enters standby. Press "Sauté" again for more time.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Always ensure the appliance is cooled down and unplugged before cleaning.
    • Clean after each use. Wipe the black inner housing rim and slot dry to prevent rusting.
    • Remove the lid and inner pot. Wash the inner pot with detergent, rinse, and wipe dry with a soft cloth. The inner pot is dishwasher safe.
    • Clean the lid, including the removable sealing ring, exhaust valve, and anti-block shield, with water and wipe dry. Do not disassemble the steam release pipe assembly.
    • Clean the cooker body with a clean damp cloth. Do not immerse the cooker in water or use a wet cloth while plugged in.
  • Sealing Ring:
    • The sealing ring can be removed by pulling upwards from its rack and installed by pressing it down. It can be installed facing either side up.
    • Before each use, inspect the sealing ring and anti-block shield for proper seating and mounting.
    • Remove foreign objects after use.
    • Clean the sealing ring in warm soapy water or dishwater to remove odors. It is normal for it to absorb smells from acidic foods.
    • Do not pull the sealing ring by force, as this can cause deformation.
    • A sealing ring with cracks, cuts, or damages must be replaced.
  • Anti-Block Shield:
    • Can be removed by pushing it on the side to lift it up. Install by positioning and pressing down.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as difficulty closing/opening the lid, steam leaks, float valve issues, display errors (E1, E2, E8, EL codes), and cooking results (rice half-cooked/too hard, too soft). Solutions range from re-seating components to contacting Kmart for faulty parts or an electrician for mains voltage issues.
  • Safety: The manual emphasizes several safety precautions, including not immersing the cord or appliance in liquid, ensuring handles are properly fastened, not operating with damaged cords, and avoiding unauthorized repairs. It also warns against opening the lid under pressure and advises caution with certain foamy foods that can clog pressure release devices.
