7. General Sanding Operation
WARNING
• Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses
with side shields during power tool operation. If
operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask.
• Wear protective gloves.
a. It is recommended to sand a test sample of
the workpiece rst to select the best suitable
sandpaper and speed range.
b. Contact the tool to the workpiece only after
the tool has reached its full speed. Press
the sander with the sandpaper set rmly
against the workpiece. This provides for good
adhesion and prevents premature wear.
c. Work with the entire surface of the sanding plate and paper, not just the edge.
d. Sand the workpiece in a continuous motion with moderate pressure. Do not force the tool.
Excessive pressure does not increase the rate of removal: it will result in unwanted sanding
marks and cause the sanding paper to wear more quickly; it can also cause tool overload.
8. Emptying the Dust Bag
WARNING
• To reduce the risk of re, always empty the dust bag frequently while sanding and never store
a sander without emptying the dust bag.
For more efcient operation, empty the dust bag when it is no more than half full.
a. Remove the dust bag (F) from the tool and shake out the dust.
b. Reattach the dust bag to the tool.

• To reduce the risk of injury, wear safety goggles or glasses with side shields.
• To reduce the risk of injury, always remove the battery pack before making any adjustments or
changing accessories.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
All maintenance should only be carried out by a qualied service technician.
Cleaning
Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, remove battery from the tool. For safe and
proper operation, always keep the tool and its ventilation slots clean.
Always use only a soft, dry cloth to clean your sander; never use detergent or alcohol.
