Why does my Kobalt Pressure Washer turn on for 2 seconds, then shut off?
    • J
      Julia WellsAug 12, 2025
When the water is connected, the accessories are properly assembled, and the power switch is on, the Kobalt Pressure Washer may turn on for 1 - 2 seconds to prime the pump. It automatically shuts off and waits for the spray gun trigger to be pressed. When the trigger is pressed, water starts flowing through the pump. The water sensor in the pump 'senses' the moving water and automatically turns the power washer on. Alternatively, turn the power switch off, hold the trigger on the spray gun to ensure a steady stream of water, and while holding the trigger, turn the power switch on.

What to do if I can’t remove the lance from the spray gun of Kobalt KPW-1500 Pressure Washer?
    • J
      John GarciaAug 18, 2025
To remove the lance from the spray gun of your Kobalt Pressure Washer: 1. Insert the quick-release end of the lance into the spray gun, press them together (about a 1/8 inch), and turn clockwise to lock the lance in place. To remove, reverse this process: press the spray gun and lance together, then turn counter-clockwise, and the lance should slide out. 2. You can also hold the spray gun and lance upright with the nozzle end on the floor. Push the assembly straight down to loosen the connection, then try the removal process again. Spraying soapy water or a lubricant where the lance connects to the spray gun may also help.

Why is my Kobalt KPW-1500 running, but there is no water flow?
    • B
      Bobby GravesAug 25, 2025
If your Kobalt Pressure Washer is running but there's no water flow, first check the water source. Then, try unclogging the nozzle on the lance, referring to the nozzle cleaning instructions under 'Cleaning nozzles'. Alternatively, remove the lance and spray directly from the spray gun to determine if the lance is the problem.

Why is water leaking where the high pressure hose connects to the spray gun on my Kobalt KPW-1500?
    • J
      James MilesAug 30, 2025
If water is leaking where the high-pressure hose connects to the spray gun of your Kobalt Pressure Washer, ensure there's an o-ring at the end of the metal tip of the high-pressure hose. Without the o-ring, the connection will leak. O-Ring Kits are available through Customer Service at 1-866-206-0888 to place an order.

How to fix a Kobalt Pressure Washer that will not turn on?
    • D
      Darren MooreSep 4, 2025
Make sure the Kobalt power washer is in the 'OFF' position. Plug the electrical cord into a grounded 120-volt outlet, without using an extension cord. If the cord doesn't fit, the outlet isn't properly grounded and shouldn't be used; try another outlet. If it still doesn't work, try another electrical outlet and repeat the process. If the issue persists, call Customer Service at 1-866-206-0888.
