    First, verify cold air is blowing out the top of the heat pump. Then, run the heat pump continually for 24-48 hours. Also, increase the circulating pump time, or switch the control board to maintain Heat function. Make sure that no air intake stand pipes are open. If the problem persists, call for service.

    Ensure the control board thermostat is calling for the heater to turn on by checking the thermostat setting and temperature reading. Also, verify that the heat pump is not in cooling mode.
