After the engine is stopped, the devices are still operated for a few minutes. Before replacing the filter, clean
around the DEF pump first after the DEF system devices stop.
Items to be prepared
• DEF filter removal tool
• Torque wrench
1.
Remove the bolts (1) (6 pieces) and remove the cover (2).
The DEF filter is located at the position shown in the fig-
ure.
2.
Remove the filter cap (3) at the lower part of DEF pump,
and remove the element (4).
3.
Turn the cap (6) of filter removal tool (5) and remove it.
4.
Check the installation of spacer (7).
