KONKA FP1 FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
Q1. How do I insert the sim card into my Konka phone?
To insert the sim card, you need to remove the back cover from the phone and remove the battery. To do this,
you just need to find the small cut-out edge on the bottom left corner of the back cover and remove it. You
can then remove the battery via the small opening provided above the battery. The sim goes in to the large
space provided above the icon that says SIM inside it. That icon always gives you a guide to follow. You need to
ensure the sim card’s cut out edge is facing to the top left of the phone. The sim size is called standard: which
is actually the largest sized sim card available. The sim card should fit perfectly between the cut out areas
provided.
Q2. How do I turn the device on and off?
To turn the device on and off, flip the phone open and you simply hold down the Red End Key for around 5
seconds. This will put the device into the boot-up system to power on and the boot-down system to power off.
Remember: To put the phone into sleep mode, just flip the cover back down.
Q3. How can I factory reset my Konka phone?
Before you proceed – remember to back up all personal data (photos, videos, contacts etc.…) – these will be
lost when the device is reset. To reset your device, press the left soft key to open the applications menu. Now
use the directional keys and head to the right, until you find settings. Press the OK key to select. Now use the
directional keys again to head down until you find the setting: Restore factory settings or you can simply press
the number 8 to skip to the menu. Press OK to proceed. You now need to input the 4 digit unlock code which is
0000 by default. Now press YES (left soft key) to proceed with the reset. The phone will now re-boot and
eventually come back to the home screen completely reset.
Q4. Can I adjust the in-call volume?
If you feel you cannot hear the individual on the other end very well, you can alter this setting, to improve
volume. You need to be in an active call to do this, so please make sure you make a phone call first. During the
call, all you need to do is use the increase/decrease volume keys on the left hand side of the device. The top
half of the button increases the volume, whereas the bottom half decreases the volume.
Q5. How do I put my phone into hands free loudspeaker mode?
To activate loudspeaker, all you need to do is press the right soft key which has a subheading on the screen
called H-FREE. To return back to regular volume, press the same button which is then labelled H-HELD.
Q6. How can I do a conference call?
To add a new person to the call, simply press the left soft key which is labelled options on screen. Now go
down and select new call. Dial the new number and press the green call key. This will now call and put that
contact into a conference call.
