Universal radio transmitter application
The universal radio transmitter can
be connected to any common switch,
pushbutton, motion detector, etc. using a
potential-free contact. Thus, a convention-
al installation becomes suitable for radio
transmission.
Please observe:
Connect only potential-free contacts to the
universal radio transmitter. The universal
radio transmitter must not be applied to an
external, foreign voltage.
Contacts of customary pushbuttons, switch-
es, etc. are normally designed for 230 VAC
operation. If an extra-low voltage is applied,
e.g. 3 VDC, a contact oxidation layer, however,
may cause a negative impact on triggering
the universal radio transmitter. As a result,
the emission of radio signals can be compli-
cated or hindered. We recommend therefore
to use only new switches or pushbuttons or
devices with annealed contact surfaces. If the
universal radio transmitter is connected to
flush-mounted devices, an adequate mount-
ing depth of flushmounted switch box must
be observed.
When installing in a flush-mounted box,
behind a customary switch/pushbutton,
the metal frame of switch/pushbutton may
cause a reduction in range of transmission.

planning“ and „Background Information“ sec-
tions. When connecting it to potential-free
contacts it must be ensured that the contact
maker is designed for applying extra-low
voltage (please note the data sheet specifi-
cations).
