This document describes the KOREX Smart Kettle, model AX-WF306, a smart electric kettle designed for home use.
Function Description:
The KOREX Smart Kettle is primarily used for heating water. It features smart capabilities, allowing it to be controlled via a smartphone app (Smart Life) and integrated with smart home assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home. The kettle is designed to boil water and maintain it at a desired warm temperature. It includes safety features such as automatic shut-off and a safety cut-out mechanism to prevent damage from dry boiling.

Usage Features:
The kettle operates with a cordless design, sitting on a sub-base that connects to a power outlet.
- Initial Use: Before first use, it's recommended to clean the kettle by performing several boiling cycles with clean water, filling it to the upper marking each time.
- Operation:
- Place the cordless base on a firm, level surface.
- Fill the kettle with the desired amount of clean, cold water, ensuring it's between the minimum and maximum level marks. Do not overfill.
- Ensure the lid is properly closed.
- Position the kettle on the sub-base so it fits precisely.
- Plug the unit into a wall socket. The buzzer will sound "di".
- The LED display will show "EO" if no kettle is on the stand, or "OF" when the kettle is placed on the stand, indicating standby mode.
- Press the ON/OFF button once to start boiling. A red indicator light will illuminate, and the display will show "ON".
- The kettle automatically cuts off when the water is fully boiled. Pressing ON/OFF again during boiling will stop the operation.
- Keep Warm Function:
- While the kettle is working, press the "PROG" button to enter "thermostat" mode. The red indicator light will turn off, and a green light will turn on.
- Use the "TEMP+" or "TEMP-" buttons to adjust the desired temperature (range: 50°C-95°C).
- Once the temperature is set, the kettle will enter the boiling and warming state. Buttons self-lock after 5 seconds. To change the set mode, press "PROG" again and reset the temperature.
- If the temperature is between 85°C-100°C and stops rising, the heater will cut off after about 15 seconds.
- The keep warm function automatically turns off after approximately 2 hours of no operation.
- Smart Control (Smart Life App):
- Download the "Smart Life" app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Register or log in to the app.
- To pair the device, press "Add Device" on the home page (or the "+" icon for existing users).
- Select the kettle from the device list.
- Power on the kettle, then press and hold the "PROG" button until the LED light blinks.
- Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password in the app to connect.
- The app will show connection progress and confirm when the device is successfully added.
- Smart Home Integration (Alexa & Google Home):
- Alexa: Open the Alexa app, go to "Skills," search for "Smart Life," and enable the skill. Log in with your Smart Life account credentials and authorize the connection. Then, go to "Smart Home" in Alexa, press "+" to add devices, and Alexa will discover the kettle.
- Google Home: Download the Google Home app and register your Google Account. Ensure the kettle is paired with the Smart Life app and named clearly. Open Google Home, select "Account" (bottom right), then "Settings." Under "Google Assistant Services," tap "More settings," then "Assistant." Tap "Home control," then "+" to add devices. Search for "Smart Life," and link your Smart Life account by entering your credentials.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning:
- Always disconnect the kettle from the power supply and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaning solutions.
- Do not immerse the base or the kettle in any liquid.
- Clean the exterior with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
- Descaling:
- Regularly remove lime deposits from the kettle.
- If the appliance switches off before reaching boiling point, it indicates descaling is necessary.
- Use a regular descaling agent, following its instructions. Do not overfill the kettle if the agent causes foaming.
- After descaling, perform several boiling cycles with clean water and rinse the kettle thoroughly.
- Safety Precautions:
- Never immerse the sub-base, cord, plugs, or heating base in liquid.
- Do not operate the appliance outdoors or with wet hands.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not touch hot surfaces; use the handle.
- Ensure the lid is properly closed during operation to prevent scalding from steam or hot water.
- Do not remove the lid while water is boiling.
- Ensure the kettle is switched off before removing it from the base.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent.
- Do not operate if the power cord shows signs of damage or if the kettle has been dropped.
- The heating base will be very hot during and shortly after use; allow it to cool before touching.
- For polarized or grounded plugs, ensure proper connection to the outlet. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about grounding.
