CONNECTING THE KORG PA SERIES TO AN EXTERNAL
SEQUENCER (MIDIWORKS)
You can program a new Song on an external sequencer, using Korg PA as a multi-timbral
expander.
Connections and settings via MIDI Interface
In order to connect the Korg PA to a computer, you need to have a computer with the MIDI
interface.
1. Connect the Pa80 and the computer as in the following diagram.
2. Go to “MIDI Setup” . Select the External Sequencer Setup.
PA3X, PA2X

PA800, PA500
Press SEQUENCER to go to the Sequencer mode. Go to the
“Preferences: Sequencer Setup” page. Select the “Extern.Seq.” MIDI
Setup.
PA900, PA600 Select the “Extern.Seq.” MIDI Preset. You can do this by going to the
“MIDI: General Controls” page of the Global mode.
PA1X Press SEQUENCER to go to the Sequencer mode. Go to the
“Preferences: Global Setup” page. Select the “Extern.Seq.” MIDI
Setup.
PA80, PA50 Press GLOBAL, and go to “Page 5 - MIDI Setup” . Select the Ext.Seq
Setup.
