xThe amount of the fresh foo ds that can b e
loaded in the freezer w ithin 24 hours is stated
on the ratin g plate. I f the l oaded amount is too
large, the quality of freezing is reduced which
affects the
quality of frozen foods.
Freezing Procedure
Freezing compartment is used for freezing
foodstuffs (see c hapter "Description of the
Appliance").
xIf y ou want to freeze larger amount of fresh
food, set the thermostat k nob to the p osition
for c ontinuous o
peration. A fter 24 hours you
can l oad the freezing compartment w ith
packages of fresh foods.
x24 hours after the food was loaded, the
frozen packages can b e s tored into baskets
and the freezer can b e l oaded with new
packages of fresh foo
ds. D on't l et the fresh
packages touch the frozen ones.
xSome 24 hours after the last l oad, set the
thermostat k nob to the p osition for normal
operation.
xThere is no need to s et the thermostat k no
b
to the p osition for c ontinuous operation if
you intend to freeze smaller amount of fresh
foods (1-2 kg).
Storing Frozen Foods
Packages of frozen foo ds are s tore d in baskets.
If y ou remove the baskets, you can s tore frozen
packages directly on the c ooling shelves.
Storing Commercially Frozen Foods
The s torage time a nd recommended temperature
for s toring commercially frozen foods is indicated
on the packaging. F or s toring and use c onsider
manufacturer's instruction.
When s hopping, be careful and choose
only
packages of foods which a re adequately
packed and provided with c omplete data and
stored in freezers where the temperature is
not higher than -18°C.
Do not buy packages of food wrapped with frost.
This indicate
s that the package was thawed
before a t l east once.
Take care that packages don't s tart to thaw.
Temperature rise s hortens the s torage time of
commercially frozen foods.

Defrosting of Frozen Food
Partially thawed or d efrosted foods should be
used as soon as possible. C old air p reserves
the food but it d oes not d estroy
microorganisms which rapidly activate
themselves after d efrosting and make foods
perishable.

sting reduces the nutritional value
of foods, especially of fruits, vegetables and
ready-made m eals.
