This document is an owner's manual for the Kress Mission™ RTK robotic lawnmower, covering models KR160E, KR160E.A, KR161E, and KR171E.
The Kress Mission™ RTK robotic lawnmower is designed for domestic lawn mowing, specifically for frequent mowing to maintain a healthier and better-looking lawn. It can be programmed to operate at any time or frequency, depending on the lawn size. It is not intended for digging, sweeping, or snow cleaning. The machine utilizes RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) technology for precise navigation within a virtual boundary. Before each working cycle, the machine performs a check of the virtual boundary, and if it's not detected, the machine will shut down. The RTK antenna senses when the machine approaches the virtual boundary or hits an obstacle, prompting it to select a new direction.

Usage Features:
- Virtual Boundary: The machine operates within a user-defined virtual boundary, which is checked before each mowing cycle.
- Obstacle Avoidance: The RTK antenna helps the mower detect and react to obstacles or the virtual boundary by changing direction.
- Automatic Operation: The mower can be programmed for automatic operation, but it should not be left unattended if pets, children, or people are in the vicinity.
- Manual Charging: The mower can be manually docked into the charging base. The charging base has a green light indicator for power and a flashing green light for charging.
- PIN Code: A four-digit PIN code is required to start the mower for the first time.
- Safety Features: Includes a STOP button to halt operation, and the mower should not be operated without the guard in place. It's crucial to keep hands and feet away from rotating parts.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Inspection: The mower requires regular cleaning and inspection. Blades, blade bolts, and cutter assembly should be visually inspected periodically for wear or damage.
- Blade Replacement: Blades are razor-sharp on two edges and rotate in both directions. They should be reversed monthly and replaced weekly, or as needed based on cutting quality. All blades and screws must be replaced simultaneously to maintain balance. New screws are essential for blade retention and balance.
- Procedure: Turn off power, wear protective gloves, gently flip the mower, remove the battery cover and battery, unscrew old blades, firmly screw on new blades, and refit the battery and cover. Ensure blades spin freely after replacement.
- Cleaning: The mower should be cleaned regularly. Hose water cleaning is supported, but high-pressure washers should NOT be used as water can damage electronic and mechanical parts. Use a soft brush or moist rag for cleaning the body, chassis, front, and driving wheels. Remove all grass clippings and debris, especially around the blade disc, to prevent cracks.
- Contact Pins and Charging Strips: Clean these regularly with a cloth to ensure successful charging.
- Battery Maintenance: The 20V Li-Ion battery should be fully charged and stored in a cool, dry place (-20°C~+60°C) for proper storage, especially during winter hibernation.
- Winter Hibernation: Before storing for winter, thoroughly clean the mower, fully charge the battery, and turn off the power. Protect the underside from water and NEVER store it upside down outdoors.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues, with solutions for problems like the charging base LED not turning on, docking issues, power depletion, boundary overruns, positioning signal problems, and sensor abnormalities.
- Software Updates: If the mower's software is not the latest, it should be updated.
- U-disk Format: For log reading, the U-disk must be formatted to FAT32.
- Environmental Protection: Electrical waste products should not be disposed of with household waste but recycled at appropriate facilities. Li-ion batteries should be collected separately for recycling due to hazardous substances.
