Overview

The Krinner Tree Genie Steel is a Christmas tree stand designed to securely hold natural Christmas trees indoors. It features a unique foot pedal clamping mechanism for easy setup and removal of the tree.

Function Description:

The primary function of the Krinner Tree Genie Steel is to provide a stable and secure base for natural Christmas trees. It utilizes a foot pedal-operated clamping system that allows for quick and effortless installation of the tree. The stand also includes a water reservoir to keep the tree fresh throughout the holiday season, along with a water level indicator to prevent overfilling and ensure adequate hydration. A locking mechanism secures the foot pedal in place once the tree is installed, preventing accidental release.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Max Tree Height: 15 ft. / 4.50 m
  • Max Trunk Diameter: 8" / 20 cm
  • Weight: 13.0 lbs / 6 kg
  • Diameter: 30" / 77 cm
  • Height: 4.8" / 12.0 cm
  • Water Capacity: 0.5 gal. / 2 l
  • Warranty: 5 Years

Usage Features:

Setting Up the Tree:

  1. Unlock the Foot Pedal: First, raise the red lock into the green (unlock) position to release the foot pedal.
  2. Open Clamps: Gently lift the foot pedal upwards. The clamping mechanism will spring into a vertical, open position.
  3. Prepare the Tree: Ensure the tree trunk has a straight and even cut at the bottom. Place the trunk in the center of the stand, onto the spike, ensuring contact without forcing it or drilling a hole. An uneven or inclined cut, or a drilled trunk, can reduce stability and increase the risk of the tree falling, requiring re-cutting.
  4. Secure the Tree: Push down the foot pedal repeatedly until the clamping mechanism securely fastens the trunk. Ensure the tree is well-positioned and securely anchored.
  5. Lock the Foot Pedal: Once the tree is secure, slide the lock into the red (locked) position to secure the foot pedal. A padlock can be inserted for additional security.
  6. Add Water: Slowly fill the water tank with tap water until the level indicator is clearly visible. Stop adding water once the indicator is visible. Overfilling can damage the seal and cause leaks.

Taking Out the Tree:

  1. Unlock the Foot Pedal: Raise the lock into the green (unlock) position.
  2. Release Clamps: Hold the tree in an upright position and lift the foot pedal. The clamps will spring into a vertical position, allowing the tree to be removed.
  3. Drain Water: Tip the stand towards the level indicator opening to drain the water into a sink.

Storage:

  1. Close Clamps: Repeatedly push down the foot pedal to close the claws. Stop when the claws are down and the pedal is in a horizontal position.
  2. Lock for Storage: Hold the pedal and bring the lock back into the secured position (red).
  3. Store: Place the stand back in its original box.

Safety Precautions:

  • Use the stand only for its intended purpose (natural Christmas trees indoors).
  • Ensure the stand is on a solid, level, and even surface. Avoid thick carpets or uneven surfaces.
  • A heavy plastic sheet underneath the stand is recommended to prevent damage to carpets or floors from potential leakage.
  • Always check the water tank for cracks and holes yearly before setup.
  • Ensure the water level indicator moves freely; clean with soap if sap residues are present.
  • When operating the foot pedal, ensure hands or other body parts are clear of the clamps to prevent injury. The stand is not a toy and should not be operated by children.
  • Do not alter the stand's construction, as this voids the warranty.
  • If using electric lighting, keep wires away from the water tank.
  • Ensure the tree is securely fastened, well-balanced, and centered before decorating.
  • Keep the tree away from fireplaces and open flames.
  • The foot pedal should only be operated with suitable footwear.

Maintenance Features:

  • Water Tank Check: Annually inspect the water tank for cracks and holes before setting up the tree to prevent floor damage from leakage.
  • Water Level Indicator Check: Verify that the water level indicator moves freely. If sap residues are present, pull the indicator up and out with a pointed tool and wash it with soap.
  • Cleaning: After removing the tree, drain the water. Wash the stand with a soft sponge and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Drying: Completely dry the stand prior to storage.
