DESCALING
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT!
The appliance must be descaled from time to time, preferably once a
month, depending on how often it is used and more frequently if the
water has a high calcium content.
To descale your appliance. Use:
– 20 g of commercially available white vinegar added to a jug of water;
– Place the liquid in the lower part of the appliance;
– Allow to heat for 10 mins without a lid;
– Stop the appliance, unplug and empty out the liquid;
– Rinse the cooking bowl using a damp sponge;
– Leave the appliance to cool;
– Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing.
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be
recovered or recycled.
Leave it at a local civic waste collection point or an approved
service centre.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
KEEPING HARD BOILED EGGS WARM:
Before any cleaning or maintenance, unplug and leave the appliance to cool.
The lid and egg holder are cleaned using water and washing up liquid.
Wipe the appliance exterior and the cord using a damp cloth.
Leave to dry.
Do this regularly, ideally after each use.
You can keep hard boiled eggs warm by placing the egg holder and its lid
on the lower part of the cooker without water.
Turn the knob to the center to the setting.
The indicator light comes on. The appliance starts working and keeps
the eggs warm. (13).
Remove the lid using oven gloves as the appliance is still hot and hot
steam escapes through the opening on the lid. (10).
Grab the egg holder by the handle (using oven gloves if necessary). (11).
Remove the egg holder from the appliance and run under cold water to
cool the eggs. (12).
