11.24 Removing the air filter
Note
Engine damageUnfiltered intake air has a negative effect on the service life of the engine.
Dust and dirt will enter the engine without an air filter.
Only operate the vehicle if it is equipped with an air filter.
Note
Environmental hazardHazardous substances cause environmental damage.
Dispose of oils, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning agents, brake fluid, etc., correctly and in compliance with
the applicable regulations.
Preparatory work
Remove the seat. ( p. 56)

Main work
Press rear holding lug

together slightly and swing the air
filter box cover upward.
Pull out the front holding lug and take off the air filter box
cover.
Take off the air filter.
11.25 Installing the air filter

Position the clean air filter.
Position the rear holding lug. Lower the air filter box cover and
allow the front holding lug

to snap in.
Info
If the air filter is not mounted correctly, dust and dirt
may enter the engine and result in damage.
Finishing work
Mount the seat. ( p. 56)
