Marinated Pork Ribs
Ingredients
1 – 1½ kg pork ribs
Smoky Barbeque Marinade
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp red chilli, finely chopped
1 tsp garlic, crushed
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 sprigs rosemary, crushed
100ml red wine (optional)
Method
Combine the marinade ingredients in a large shallow dish and stir until smooth.
Cut the pork ribs into chunks that will fit onto the grill plate.
Smear the spice mix on the pork ribs and marinate, covered, in the refrigerator
for at least 4 hours.
Preheat the barbeque on heat setting 5 and lightly oil the grill plate.
When the grill has reached the set temperature, place the pork ribs onto the
grill plate and close the hood.
Grill for about 20 – 30 minutes, or until the ribs are cooked through, turning the
ribs halfway through the cooking time.
Sweet & Spicy Marinade
250ml maple syrup
100g ginger, grated
100g garlic, crushed
1 – 2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp salt
2 sprigs sage
100ml dark beer (optional)
