affect these programs, regardless of whether you’re in GM
mode. The Drum Remap parameter affects only the drum
programs that are not in Bank 7.
Velocity Triggers (VTrig)
Some programs (such as Program 076 Pizz & Timp in the
Orchestral set) use velocity triggers (VTrig) to alter their
sounds. A VTrig takes effect when you play a note above (or
below) a certain volume (attack velocity). Program 076, for
example, is pizzicato strings until you play above
mezzoforte, when you do, a timpani is added to the
pizzicato.
