This guide provides basic operation and troubleshooting information for the TracVision
TV-series satellite TV antenna systems. For complete operation, setup, and diagnostics
information, refer to the system’s comprehensive Help Center, available on the TV-Hub’s
web interface. If you need any assistance, please contact KVH Technical Support.
If your system is set up for automatic satellite switching with
multiple receivers, you can select the master receiver on the
Home page of the web interface. The master receiver controls
satellite selection.
How to Select the Master Receiver
You can access the web interface using any Wi-Fi-enabled
mobile device (such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop).
1. Select the TVHub-<TV-Hub serial number> network from
your device’s Wi-Fi settings to connect to the TV-Hub.
2. Start your web browser and enter http://tvhub.kvh.

TV-series Quick Start Guide
At the rear panel of the TV-Hub, set the power switch to the On
position. The TV-Hub supplies power to the antenna. Wait a
few minutes for system startup.

Note: Only TV-Hub A includes these
connectors for North
American services.
TV-Hub B does not require them.
The antenna requires a clear view of the sky. Objects such as
bridges and boat masts can block satellite signals.
If the receiver is equipped with an IP AutoSwitch, you may also
press the button on the IP AutoSwitch to make it the master.

If the TV-Hub is connected to an onboard network, you may also
access the web interface over the network by entering the
TV-Hub’s IP address in your browser. (You can find the IP
address on the Settings page of the web interface.)

How to Turn On the System

Power Switch Operation

Set the TV-Hub power switch to On. The TV-Hub powers the antenna; wait for system startup.

Antenna View Requirements

Ensure the antenna has a clear view of the sky, unobstructed by objects or severe weather.

Accessing the Web Interface

Connect to TV-Hub Wi-Fi

Select the TVHub-<TV-Hub serial number> network from your device's Wi-Fi settings.

Launch Web Browser

Start your web browser and enter http://tvhub.kvh or the TV-Hub's IP address.

Selecting the Master Receiver

Master Receiver Selection (Web Interface)

Select the master receiver on the Home page of the web interface for automatic satellite switching.

Master Receiver Selection (IP AutoSwitch)

Press the button on the IP AutoSwitch to make it the master receiver.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Web Interface Problem Check

Check status indicators on the Home page for error messages.

Antenna Satellite Visibility Check

Ensure the antenna has an unobstructed view of the sky.

Antenna Dome Cleanliness Check

Wash the antenna dome exterior periodically with mild detergent.

Satellite Coverage Area Check

Verify the vessel is located within the selected satellite's coverage area.

Power and Connection Check

Confirm the TV-Hub, TVs, receivers are on and all cable connections are secure.

Software and Satellite Library Update Check

Periodically check for software and satellite library updates via the web interface or app.

Understanding TV-Hub Status Lights

TV-Hub Light Indicators

Interpreting the status lights on the TV-Hub: Off, Green, Green Flashing, Orange Flashing, Red.

Antenna Light Indicators

Interpreting the status lights on the antenna: Off, Green, Green Flashing, Orange, Orange Flashing, Red.

Power Light Indicators

Interpreting the power light status: Off, Green, Red.
