What to do if the Kwik-Way Grinder produces valve seat finish with rough or chatter, and/or vibration?
    • T
      Tracy GoodwinJul 30, 2025
If you're experiencing a rough or chattering valve seat finish, or excessive vibration with your Kwik-Way Grinder, several factors could be responsible. First, ensure the grinder wheel has a smooth finish. Also, check for and tighten any loose arbor in the guide. It's important to only use Kwik-Way grinder wheels. Furthermore, examine the grinder body for a worn inner sleeve and replace it if necessary. Similarly, inspect and replace a worn arbor or worn bearings in the grinder unit.

How to fix a valve seat that is not concentric when using a Kwik-Way Grinder?
    • K
      Kim HornAug 13, 2025
If your Kwik-Way Grinder is producing valve seats that are not concentric, there are a few potential causes. Check for a worn arbor and replace it if necessary. Also, ensure that the arbor is not loose in the guide and tighten it if needed. Reduce any side pressure you might be applying. Finally, inspect the arbor for bending and either straighten it or replace it.

How to resolve a rough finish on the grinding wheel of my Kwik-Way Grinder?
    • T
      Thomas SanchezAug 22, 2025
A rough finish on the grinding wheel of your Kwik-Way Grinder can be due to a truing cut that is too heavy or the travel of the diamond being too quick. Adjust the truing cut to be lighter or slow down the travel of the diamond. Another possible cause is a damaged diamond; if this is the case, replace the damaged diamond.
