MOUNTING
The posaion for mounting the engine
depends
largely
on
the
model itseH! Follow the instruc;tion manual supplied with the
model to mount the engine propetly.

GINE STARTING & BREAK-IN
Proceed
as
follows
when
starting
and
breal<ing the engine
in:
1. Ma
ke
sure the needle valve is unscrewed 2 and
314
turns
from closed position.
2.
Fill fuel into the tank.
Mo
ve
the thron.

lever to the high
position, prime the engine (push the choke
bunon 2 - 3
times
or
put 2 - 3 drops of fuel directly Into the carburetor)
and move the

CAUTION: care

dirt
or
deposits
clog
the
tank!
3. Attach the booster
co
rd
or
one·touch glow plug heat
er
to the
engine In order to electrily t

plug.
4. Quickly
puft
the recoil starter rope (statler knob) several
times.
Only
pull
out
20
- 30cm of cord.
Caution
:
Be
careful
not
to
pull
out
more
than
SOcm
of
cord
because
you
may
tear
It
and
the
spring
Insi
de
the
r1000il
starter!
5. Once the engine is started, wah 5 -
10
seconds before
detaching the booster cord
or
one-touch glow plug heater.
6. Run the engine another 2
-
3tanks
and make sure you
do
n
ot
apply full lhronte. Also allerwards, do not increase RPM
abruptly! Tighten
th
e needle valve by
t/8
turns
an
d continue
to run
lhe
engine, handling
il
genlly.
Caution:
After
each
tank
,
allow
the
engine
to
cool
off
naturally!
