Overview

This document describes the Kyowa Induction Cooker, Model No: KW-3633.

Function Description:

The Kyowa Induction Cooker is a kitchen appliance designed for cooking using induction heating technology. It offers various cooking functions and temperature controls to facilitate different culinary tasks. The induction cooker operates by generating an electromagnetic field that directly heats compatible cookware, making it an efficient and precise cooking method.

  • Frequency: 60Hz
  • Power: 1300 WATTS
  • Pan Material (Acceptable): Iron metal / stainless steel containing magnetic inducting material.
  • Pan Appearance and Size (Acceptable): Smooth and even-finished bottom, bottom diameter between 16 to 24 cm.
  • Pan Material (Not Acceptable): Non-iron metal, ceramic pot, glass, pans with copper and aluminum material.
  • Pan Appearance and Size (Not Acceptable): Rough bottom pans; bottom diameter less than 16 cm; bottom with feet that are too high.

Usage Features:

The induction cooker features a control panel with various function keys and temperature indicators.

  • Initial Setup:
    • Remove all packaging materials and untangle the power cable.
    • Plug the unit into a 230V / at least 10 Ampere power outlet. All indicator lights will flash, and the unit will beep once.
    • Place an appropriate cooking pot or pan with food onto the crystal glass plate.
  • Turning On: Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn the unit ON. By default, it will operate in "HOTPOT" function.
  • Function Selection: Press the "MENU" key to cycle through different cooking functions. The indicator light will point to the selected function.
    • STIR FRY: Default temperature is 240°C. Adjustable from 80°C to 240°C using the "+" and "-" keys.
    • FRY: Default temperature is 200°C. Adjustable from 80°C to 240°C using the "+" and "-" keys.
    • WARM: Default temperature is 80°C. The "+" and "-" keys are locked, meaning the temperature cannot be adjusted. The unit cycles ON/OFF and automatically cuts off after 30 minutes.
    • BOIL: Default temperature is 240°C. The "+" and "-" keys are locked, meaning the temperature cannot be adjusted. Power cycles ON/OFF after 15 minutes and automatically cuts off after 20 minutes.
    • SOUP: Default temperature is 240°C. The "+" and "-" keys are locked, meaning the temperature cannot be adjusted. Power cycles ON/OFF after 20 minutes and automatically cuts off after 2 hours.
    • STEAM: Default temperature is 200°C. The "+" and "-" keys are locked, meaning the temperature cannot be adjusted. Power is automatically cut off after 1 hour.
    • HOTPOT: Default temperature is 160°C. Adjustable from 80°C to 240°C using the "+" and "-" keys. This is the default function when the unit is turned on.
  • Temperature Adjustment: For functions where temperature is adjustable (STIR FRY, FRY, HOTPOT), use the "+" and "-" keys to increase or decrease the temperature.
  • Cookware Compatibility:
    • Acceptable: Stainless steel, cast iron, iron enamel, frying pans, and deep frying pans made of iron metal or magnetic stainless steel. Cookware must have a smooth, even-finished bottom with a diameter between 16 to 24 cm.
    • Not Acceptable: Pottery pans, aluminum pans, non-iron metal, ceramic, glass, copper, or aluminum cookware. Cookware with rough bottoms, diameters less than 16 cm, or bottoms with feet that are too high are also not suitable.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Allow the Induction Cooker to cool down completely before cleaning.
    • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
    • Do not wash the Induction Cooker with water or any liquid.
    • Regularly clean the body and panel to prevent dirt and stains.
    • Clean oil residue from the body and panel using mild detergent and a damp cloth.
    • Clean the air inlet and outlet with a soft brush.
    • Keep the Induction Cooker clean to prevent attraction from bugs and insects, which can cause malfunction.
  • Troubleshooting Indicators:
    • HOTPOT key blinks with beeping sound: Indicates no pan is detected or the pan is not induction compatible. Refer to the "Induction Cookware Guide."
    • 200°C light blinks with beeping sound: Indicates a short-circuited or open-circuited surface sensor. Contact an authorized service center.
    • 240 light blinks with beeping sound: Indicates power voltage exceeds 265V or is lower than 100V. Turn the unit OFF and wait for the power supply to stabilize.
  • Service:
    • Do not operate the unit if it malfunctions or appears damaged. Bring the product to the place of purchase or an authorized Kyowa dealer for inspection, repair, or replacement.
    • Do not disassemble the Induction Cooker yourself. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer all service to an authorized Kyowa service facility ONLY.

Important Safeguards:

  • Always operate from a power source matching the rating label.
  • Do not plug into extension cords with multiple loads to prevent overloading.
  • Maintain at least 10 cm distance from walls for proper ventilation.
  • Do not immerse in water or expose to rain/moisture.
  • Keep away from magnetic materials to prevent damage to electronic parts.
  • Do not operate if the unit or supply cord is damaged.
  • Do not place on or near hot surfaces (gas/electric burner, hotplate, heated oven).
  • Do not leave unattended while in use.
  • Do not put an empty pot on the cooker or allow a pot to become empty during cooking, as this can damage the pot and affect cooker performance.
  • Do not place dish cloths, paper, cushions, etc., on the panel during use to avoid fire risk.
  • Do not put wires or metallic materials into the air vent/entry to avoid electric shock.
  • Do not touch the top plate after use to avoid scalding.
  • Switch OFF and unplug when not in use or before cleaning.
  • Hold the plug when unplugging; do not pull the supply cord.
  • Not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience/knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
  • Keep out of reach of children or persons with mental/physical disabilities.
  • Intended for normal/domestic household use only, not commercial use.
