Function Description

The ARCBUMP rigging frame is specifically designed for lifting and suspending a vertical array of ARCS®II elements. The ARCOUPL coupling bar is used for the mechanical connection of adjacent ARCS®II elements within the array.

Important Technical Specifications

ARCBUMP Rigging Frame:

  • Dimensions: 767.9 mm (30.23 in) length, 645 mm (25.39 in) width, 61.7 mm (2.43 in) height.
  • Weight: 11.5 kg (25.3 lbs).
  • Material: Steel with anti-corrosion coating.
  • Included accessories: 2 D-shackles Ø 18 mm, 6 safety slings 425 mm, 6 safety slings 155 mm.
  • Compliance: Designed to comply with BGV-CI (2012) and EN ISO 12100-1 (2004) for flying arrays.

ARCOUPL Coupling Bar:

  • Dimensions: 700 mm (27.6 in) length, 28 mm (1.1 in) width, 23.5 mm (0.9 in) height.
  • Weight: 0.9 kg (2 lbs).
  • Material: Aluminum.
  • Included accessories: 4 D-shackles Ø 12 mm.

Mechanical Safety of Shackles: L-Acoustics provides D-shackles with specific working load limits (WLL) and safety factors:

  • Ø12mm shackles: WLL of 630 kg.
  • Ø18mm shackles: WLL of 1250 kg.
  • Ø22mm shackles: WLL of 2000 kg. All shackles have a 6:1 safety factor and comply with BGV-CI (2012) recommendations for authorized maximum configurations.

Maximum Configurations (without SOUNDVISION modeling): The ARCS®II rigging system supports various horizontal and vertical configurations:

  • Horizontal Configurations:

    • With 1 BUMP3: 2 or 4 ARCS®II enclosures.
    • With 2 BUMP3 and 1 LIFTBAR: 1, 3, 5, or 6 ARCS®II enclosures.
    • With ARCBUMP and 1 pick-up point: Up to 3 ARCS®II enclosures.
    • With ARCBUMP and 2 pick-up points: Up to 4 ARCS®II enclosures.
  • Vertical Configurations:

    • With 1 BUMP3: Up to 3 ARCS®II enclosures.
    • With 2 BUMP3 and 1 LIFTBAR: Up to 4 ARCS®II enclosures.
    • With ARCBUMP and 1 pick-up point: Up to 3 ARCS®II enclosures.
    • With ARCBUMP and 2 pick-up points: Up to 4 ARCS®II enclosures.

For configurations exceeding these limits, the system must be modeled in SOUNDVISION, and the Mechanical Data section should be checked for any stress or stability warnings.
