FISH WINCH
Owners Manual
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing your FISH WINCH® electric fishing reel drive. Your new FISH
WINCH® is an electric motor drive attachment that quickly converts your conventional reel into a
powerful electric fishing reel. Fishing reels featuring a FISH WINCH® make great electric
bottom fishing (deep dropping) reels, electric trolling reels, electric kite reels, electric teaser reels,
or electric dredge reels. Please be careful when using the FISH WINCH® as they are very
powerful and can pull you overboard. We hope that you enjoy the pleasant experience of fishing
with your new electric reel. Please read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference.
Power Switch
Your FISH WINCH® is equipped with an all-in-one momentary or “continuous-on” power switch.
Push or pull the lever (button lock) on the switch housing over top of the momentary push button
to make it a “continuous-on” switch.

1 - Remove the handle from your reel (2-speed reels should be in high gear) and tighten the drag.
2 - With the reel sitting flat, remove the screws on your reel (outer edge of reel) located on most
reels at 5 o’clock (5:00) and 7 o’clock (7:00) - *screws on the 320LD/320GT’s are located at
(4:00) & (6:00) - screws on the 340GT/GTi & 345GT/GTi are located at (4:00) & (5:00) -
screws on the FATHOM (star drag), GRAPHITE GS/MAG, & SQUALL (single speed) reels

located at (2:00) & (6:00)*
3 - Connect your FISH WINCH® to a 12 volt power source.
4 - Carefully line up the driveshaft of the FISH WINCH® to the shaft of the reel (where the
handle was attached). *Penn 10KG, 10LD, 15KG, 15LD, 245LD, 24KG, 309, 320LD, 330LD,

BEACH, SQL16VS, SQL30VSW, & SQL50VSW require the enclosed spacers to be placed
into the screw holes of the reel before attaching the FISH WINCH®.*
5 - Slowly and carefully, using the power button on the FISH WINCH®, thread the unit’s
driveshaft into/onto the shaft of the reel. You may have to hold the reel’s spool while threading
the driveshaft. Be careful not to cross thread the two parts. (Should you accidentally cross
thread the driveshaft into/onto the reel, simply reverse the positive (+) and negative (-) from
your power cord on your power source to reverse the motor).
6 - Disconnect the FISH WINCH® from the power source.
7 - Replace the screws removed earlier with the enclosed screws using the wrench or screwdriver
provided.
8 - To remove the FISH WINCH® from your reel, simply remove the screws attaching the
mounting bracket to your reel. Connect your FISH WINCH® to a 12 volt power source
reversing the positive (+) and negative (-) of your power cord. Hold your reel tightly and
engage the power button.
