Why is my Laguna Dust Collector not collecting dust effectively?
    • S
      Scott IbarraAug 10, 2025
If your Laguna Dust Collector isn't adequately collecting dust or chips, resulting in poor performance, start by emptying the canister end cap if it's full. Clean the filter if it's dirty. Clear any restrictions in the duct line by cleaning the inlet splitter. If the suction route is too long or has too many sharp bends, move the machine closer to the suction point and rerun the ducts to eliminate sharp bends. Ensure you are using lumber with less than 20% moisture content to prevent clogging. Repair any leaks in the ductwork and close any unused ports. Increase velocity in the main suction line by opening one or two more blast gates to different branch lines. Finally, ensure you're using the correct size ducting and ports; resize and reinstall if necessary.

How to reduce vibration and noise in my Laguna Dust Collector?
    • K
      Kathryn KempAug 16, 2025
If your Laguna Dust Collector is producing excessive vibration or noise during operation, inspect and tighten all bolts and nuts, as a loose component may be the cause. Also, check the motor mount for looseness or breakage, and tighten or replace as needed. Inspect the motor fan and cover, replacing them if the motor fan is hitting the fan cover. Finally, rotate the shaft manually to check for grinding or a loose shaft, and replace the bearings if needed.

Why is my Laguna Dust Collector cyclone so noisy and vibrating a lot?
    • J
      Jeremy BrownAug 23, 2025
To address loud, repetitive noise or excessive vibration coming from the cyclone of your Laguna Dust Collector, first ensure the machine is stabilized on a flat surface. Inspect the impeller for dents, bends, or loose fins, and replace it if needed. Check and re-tighten all fasteners to address any loose connections. If the impeller is loose, replace the motor and impeller. Also, check the motor fan and cover; replace as needed if the motor fan is hitting the fan cover.

    • S
      Sherry NorrisNov 3, 2025
If your Laguna Dust Collector doesn't start or a breaker trips, first ensure the power supply is switched ON and has the correct voltage. Check if the wall fuse or circuit breaker has blown or tripped; if so, ensure adequate circuit size, install an inlet restrictor, or replace the weak breaker. For a faulty remote control, replace the batteries and ensure there's an unobstructed line-of-sight and signal range. If the remote receiver is faulty, inspect the receiver circuit board and replace it if necessary. For an incorrectly wired motor connection, rewire it or call a certified service technician or electrician. If the on-board circuit breaker is tripped, allow the motor to cool, improve ventilation, and press the reset button. Check for broken wires or poor connections and repair as nece...
