Overview

The BNX Series LED full-color display screen, produced by LAMP Tech, is designed for indoor fixed installations, offering pixel pitches of 1.5mm, 1.9mm, 2.6mm, 2.9mm, and 3.9mm. This manual covers the BN1.5X, BN1.9X, BN2.6X, BN2.9X, and BN3.9X models.

Function Description:

The BNX Series LED display is a full-color display system designed for various indoor applications. It utilizes a full die-casting aluminum cabinet, ensuring flatness and a sleek, ultra-thin design (only 48mm thick). The display supports flexible splicing methods, including horizontal and vertical arrangements of cabinets with same or different dimensions, as well as creative stagger splicing. Optional 45° chamfered cabinets and arc schemes (0-270° crosswise, 0-10° internal/external vertically) are available to meet diverse creative scene requirements. The system incorporates double backup for power and loop backup for signal, guaranteeing display stability. High cost-effective schemes, such as 2+3 and 3+3, allow one power supply and one receiving card to serve two cabinets. The module, power supply, and control card are all front-maintained, eliminating the need for a rear maintenance channel. Cabinets are engraved with marks to facilitate quick positioning of the power supply and receiving card. The display can also be mixed and combined with GN-PLUS series for more varied appearances.

Usage Features:

  • Safety Guidelines: Users must read and follow all safety guidelines, instructions, warnings, and precautions outlined in the manual. This includes being cautious with heavy loads, operating carefully to avoid finger injury, and wearing a safety helmet.
  • Installation: Installation should only be performed by qualified technicians authorized by LAMP Tech. The display can be directly fixed to a wall using self-tapping screws (structure-free installation) or integrated into a steel structure provided by LAMP Tech. Hoisting is supported with matched hoisting beams.
  • Power Supply: The power supply must meet specific voltage (110V~220V ± 10%) and frequency (50HZ~60HZ ± 5%) requirements. For total power exceeding 5KW, a three-phase five-wire voltage is required for even current distribution. Proper grounding is essential to prevent electric shock.
  • Environmental Conditions: The display should be used in an environment compliant with operating specifications, avoiding moist, abrasive, dusty, corrosive, or extreme temperature conditions (outside 0°C to 40°C). It should not be exposed to lasers, ultrasonic vibrations, or substances that hinder ventilation.
  • ESD Protection: LED components are susceptible to electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage. Antistatic gloves must be worn during operation (installation, disassembly, etc.), and components should not be touched while the equipment is running or turned off.
  • System Setup: The display system uses a sending card, receiving card, and HUB board. Installation involves connecting the DVI graphic card, sending card, and receiving card, followed by software configuration using NovaLCT and NovaStudio. This includes setting display parameters like resolution, refresh rate, and screen connection.
  • Initial Operation: For newly installed displays, a specific aging process is recommended, starting with low brightness (10%) for 2 hours, gradually increasing to 100% over several cycles, with intermediate shutdowns.
  • Multi-Monitor Setup: Instructions are provided for setting up multiple monitors using Intel HD graphics, AMD Radeon graphics (5000 series or newer), and NVIDIA Graphics, allowing users to configure extended desktops or treat multiple monitors as a single large surface.

Maintenance Features:

  • Front Maintenance: Modules, power supplies, and control cards can all be maintained from the front, eliminating the need for a rear maintenance channel.
  • Module Disassembly/Assembly: Special magnetic suction tools or negative pressure tools are provided for gentle and slow module removal and assembly to prevent damage to the lamp surface.
  • Power Supply/Receiving Card/HUB Board Disassembly/Assembly: These components are fixed with screws and can be removed and reinstalled from the front for maintenance.
  • Regular Inspection: Regular inspection of all installed units is recommended, with increased frequency for critical installations. Damaged parts must be immediately removed for repair or replacement by LAMP Tech personnel.
  • Cleaning: Dust on module masks should be cleaned promptly to prevent local color cast. The display casing and control cabinet can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. A vacuum cleaner with a soft brush nozzle is recommended for regularly cleaning ventilation grilles, modules, and control cabinets. Compressed air can be used to blow off dust from the LED indicator, maintaining a safe distance of 10cm. Isopropanol can be used as a solvent for cleaning the LED indicator with a damp cloth.
  • Precautions During Maintenance:
    • Ensure the area is well ventilated, and smoking is prohibited when using isopropanol.
    • Do not use a brush to clean LEDs to avoid scratching.
    • Do not use a vacuum cleaner on the display side (LED indicator) due to ESD risk.
    • Do not push hard or sharp objects onto the LED soft lens; the maximum allowed load is 300g/LED.
    • All maintenance or repairs must be performed with the power turned off, and all tools and equipment must be grounded.
    • Use a striking fence and "No Entry" mark to block a restricted area (at least 3m) around the LED screen during repairs.
    • Only scaffolding or Z-lifts are allowed for accessing the display panel; ladders are forbidden.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides methods for problem determination, including resistance, voltage, short-circuit, and voltage drop detection. Common faults like blank screens, incomplete displays, communication issues, jittery displays, and sound problems are addressed with corresponding troubleshooting steps.
  • Warranty and After-sales Services: LAMP Tech provides pre-sales consulting, a free warranty, and lifetime warranty for all delivered products. The warranty covers faults caused by component quality or manufacturing defects for one year from shipment. Services include repair by express mail or other means, with a response time of 24 hours for repair service and 2 hours for telephone/network contact. On-site maintenance is available for customers in China. After the warranty period, only maintenance costs are charged.
