Usage Features:

Mounting Options:

The SBLS series offers flexible mounting options, including permanent installation and temporary attachment via suction cups. The mounting brackets feature a flexible swivel angle of 117 degrees, allowing for precise aiming of the light output, or can be fixed in a position where the mounting surface is perpendicular to the LED lenses.

Permanent Mounting:

  1. Secure mounting brackets onto the strobe light unit using the provided bolt, split washer, and washer. Do NOT fully tighten the hardware initially.
  2. Position the brackets against the desired mounting surface.
  3. Mark the areas for drilling, ensuring no vehicle components or vital parts will be damaged.
  4. Drill three mounting holes using an appropriate drill bit and thoroughly de-burr them.
  5. Secure the mounting bracket to the surface using the provided mounting screws.
  6. Adjust the tilt angle of the light bar before fully tightening the hardware.

Mounting with Suction Cups:

  1. Install suction cups onto the mounting brackets.
  2. Secure the mounting brackets onto the strobe light unit using the provided bolt, split washer, and washer. Do NOT fully tighten the hardware initially.
  3. Adjust the tilt angle of the light bar prior to fully tightening the hardware.

Installation Safety Precautions:

  • Installation should only be performed by individuals with a good understanding of automotive electronics, systems, and procedures.
  • Before drilling, thoroughly examine both sides of the mounting surface to prevent damage to vehicle components.
  • De-burr all drilled holes and use grommets for wire passages.
  • If using suction cups, magnets, tape, or Velcro®, ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry for maximum adhesion.
  • Never operate the product under hazardous driving situations.
  • Crucially, avoid installing the product or routing electrical wires near vehicle airbag deployment areas. Refer to the vehicle owner's manual for airbag locations. Improper installation can impair airbag effectiveness, cause injury, or even death. The installer assumes full responsibility for safe mounting location.
  • Do not look directly into the lights, as they contain high-intensity LEDs, which can cause momentary blindness or eye injury.

Maintenance Features:

Replacing Light Modules:

The SBLS series is designed with replaceable 4W LED light modules. This feature allows for easy maintenance and customization:

  • Defective Module Replacement: If a light module becomes defective, it can be individually replaced, extending the lifespan of the entire unit without needing to replace the whole light bar.
  • Color/Module Layout Customization: Users can change the color or layout of the modules to suit specific preferences or operational requirements.
  • Accessing Quick Disconnect Plugs: To replace modules, it may be necessary to remove more than one module to access the watertight quick disconnect plugs, facilitating easy and secure connections.

This modular design significantly enhances the product's serviceability and adaptability, making it a cost-effective and long-lasting solution for emergency warning lighting.
