Function Description:

The Truma AquaGo water heater is a tankless system designed to provide on-demand hot water for recreational vehicles. It operates by heating water as it flows through the unit, eliminating the need for a storage tank and ensuring a continuous supply of hot water. The system is available in "basic," "comfort," and "comfort plus" models, with the "comfort plus" model featuring additional functionalities such as a circulation line inlet and a drain line. The water heater integrates with the vehicle's LP gas supply for heating and a 12V DC power supply for its electrical components and control panel. A control panel allows users to manage the water heater's operation, and for "comfort" and "comfort plus" models, a diagnosis feature is available.

Affected Units: 2022 Lance campers (models 650, 825, 865, 1062, 1172) and trailers (models 1685, 1985, 1995, 2185, 2445) with the Truma AquaGo water heater option.
Water Pressure: Maximum pressure of 65 psi (4.5 bar).
LP Gas Supply (Propane Only): Inlet pressure of 10.5-14 in. wc (26.2 - 34.9 mbar).
Electrical Connection: 12 V DC power supply.

Power Supply Cable Length (Maximum):
- For 16 AWG or 1.5 mm² MWG: max. 40 ft (12 m) (bidirectional).
- For 14 AWG or 2.0 mm² MWG: max. 66 ft (20 m) (bidirectional).
Gas Line Connection: Requires a ¼” wrench with a backer wrench for disconnection and reconnection.
Safety: The system uses propane, which is highly flammable. Proper handling and leak checks are crucial.

Maintenance Features:

Data Cable Rerouting: The primary maintenance task described is the rerouting of the data cable to correct an improper installation. This involves disconnecting the cable from the control board, pulling it out from the back side of the water heater, and routing it through the gas line opening.
Grommet Installation: A new grommet must be installed inside the gas inlet to ensure a proper seal after the gas hose is removed and reinstalled.
Cold Water Inlet Cover: A rubber cap is installed to cover the cold water inlet opening where the data cable was previously routed.
Propane System Safety: Before any work on the propane system, users must turn off propane at both tank valves and burn off any excess propane by lighting a stove burner.
Leak Detection: After reconnecting the LP hose, a liquid propane leak solution must be applied to the connection to check for leaks. Any detected leaks require immediate inspection and repair.
Cable Management: The gas hose and data cable are fastened together with a plastic tie strap to ensure proper organization and prevent damage.
Access Panels: Maintenance requires removing the access door of the tankless water heater from the exterior and a protection panel from the interior of the trailer to access the components.
Warranty Claim: A specific flat rate code (#1708-00) and time (1.0 hour) are provided for processing warranty claims related to this correction.
