Several factors can cause an encoder error in your Langer & Laumann Garage Door Opener. The incremental encoder or its cable might be damaged, requiring replacement of the drive or cable, respectively. Additionally, a tripped blade-type fuse SI3, a faulty or unplugged motor line, or a faulty end stage could be the cause. Address a tripped fuse by eliminating the cause and replacing it. Check the motor line and plug, and consider replacing the TSG electronics unit if the end stage is faulty.
