The Golight® RadioRay® is a portable searchlight designed for either permanent or temporary attachment to a vehicle, offering advanced lighting capabilities for various applications. This device is controlled by a wireless remote, providing exceptional directional flexibility with a full 370° horizontal rotation and a 135° vertical tilt, all managed with fingertip control. The RadioRay® utilizes superior light penetration technology, available in either a halogen configuration with Cr5 PentaBeam™ technology or an LED configuration with state-of-the-art P-Vex™ lens technology.
The RadioRay® searchlight system includes the searchlight unit itself, a remote control, two A23 12V batteries, and a permanent/magnetic mounting shoe. The mounting shoe features a spring lock mechanism for easy release and removal of the light. A permanent mounting gasket and a rockguard (not applicable for LED units) are also included.
The primary function of the Golight® RadioRay® is to provide powerful, remote-controlled illumination for off-road and utility use. It is not designed for road use as a driving light. The device operates as a radio transmitter and receiver at 433MHz, with an internally mounted antenna sending and receiving radio frequency (RF) energy when the light is on. The remote control allows users to adjust the light's direction and rotation speed.
The remote control is programmable, offering 2187 different channels. This feature allows users to change the channel selection, and the receiver can relearn the new selection, enhancing flexibility and preventing interference. The light is pre-programmed at the factory, but re-programming the transmitter is recommended for optimal performance.
