Why Lawn-Boy Snow Blower engine does not start?

  If your Lawn-Boy Snow Blower engine doesn't start, make sure the key is in the ignition and turned to the On position. Check that the choke is in the On position and the primer has been pressed 2 times. If the fuel tank is empty or contains old fuel, drain it and refill with a fresh gasoline-and-oil mixture (less than 30 days old). If the engine is flooded, move the choke to the Off position and pull the rope several times. Also, ensure the spark-plug wire is connected, and the spark plug is in good condition and properly gapped. Finally, check for any restrictions in the fuel cap vent.

If the discharge chute is plugged, stop the engine and clear it with a stick. Check and adjust or replace the control cable if needed. Inspect the drive belt, and install or replace it if it’s loose, off the pulley, worn, or broken. Replace the rotor blades if they are worn.

  If your Lawn-Boy Snow Blower isn't self-propelling, lift up on the handle to hold down the front of the snowthrower. Replace the rotor blades and the scraper if the rotor blades are excessively worn. If the snow is too deep or the surface is too slippery, push forward on the handle, but allow the snowthrower to work at its own pace.
