Choose an indoor location near a standard 120-volt electrical outlet. Avoid extreme temperatures.
Securely mount the timer to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors for the wall type.
Run valve wiring underground. Use 18-gauge wire and connect common wire to each valve.
Connect individual valve wires to numbered terminals and common wire to the COMM terminal.
Use skip-a-day dial to select watering days, using pins for days not to water.
