RSK4 (433.9 MHz) / RPSK4 (868.3 MHz) – 4 CHANNELS / 1000 CODES ROLLING CODE / SECRET KEY RECEIVER (ver. 26.05.2015)
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
RSK4 is a self-learning 4-channels receiver (Rolling-code and Secret-key). It can drive 4 different applications (ex. automatic gate, burglar alarm, garden lighting, garage door, etc.) by means
of 4 no-polarized relay contacts. The receiver can store up to 1000 codes from remote controls. Two different operation modes can be set for each channel :
Mono-stable : the relay goes on when the transmitter button is pressed, then goes off 1 Second after the button’s release (to be used to open the gate).
Bi-stable : the relay goes on when the transmitter button is pressed and goes off when the same button is pressed again.
The superheterodyne receiver allows high reception reliability and good operation even in disturbed areas. Its sensitiveness and high selectivity make it immune to disturbances in the range
around the reception frequency. The receiver operates with a self-learning logic, thus guaranteeing easy installation and high performances. The receiver is endowed with terminal board and it is
supplied with a removable memory card for the data backup. Once it has been effected the backup of the codes, it is recommended to remove the memory card from the receiver and to
preserve it in a sure place.
INSTALLATION
For the receiver’s good operation it is necessary to carry out installation very carefully. The receiver performance does not only depend on its technical characteristics but it is also a function of
the environment’s radio-electrical and ground’s orographic conditions. For a good results we recommend to follow the rules listed below :
a) Connect a tuned aerial to the receiver.
b) Place the aerial to the outside in free air and far from metal structures.
c) Fix the aerial at a higher level as compared to the gate and fences.
d) Make sure the aerial is within the radio-control’s optical reach.
LIMITS TO USE
RSK4 receiver operates only with the following devices: SMARTY433 and ROLLY remote controls, TRP1 transponder and RTA2 Keyboard.
RPSK4 receiver operates only with the following devices: SMARTY868 remote controls, RTA8 Keyboard.
OPERATION WITH STANDARD PROTOCOL ROLLING CODE (compatible with all rolling-code remotes by Leb electronics)
***The receiver is predisposed by the factory in “open mode” (Dip Switch 5 in ON) in order to work with Standard protocol Rolling-code.
Insertion of a code in memory
a) Press the P1 key on the receiver and verify that the red led goes on with fixed light.
b) Press a key on the remote control that must be stored for 1 sec. or digit a code on the RTA2 keyboard or swipe the tag on TRP1 and verify that the green led on the receiver goes on.
c) The green led on the receiver will go off thus signalling that the code has been stored.
Attention: the receiver will associate automatically the channels for each remote control key (key 1 = relay 1, key 2 = relay 2, etc.), whereas for RTA2 and TRP1 the channel will
depend by the setting selected on board.
Alternative procedure to enter the codes (using the function Far-Storing)
The receiver is designed for remotely auto-learning (Far-Storing) of SMARTY and ROLLY if there is already stored at least one remote.
a) Within range of the receiver, on the new remote control to be stored, press the desired key for 6 seconds;
b) On the own remote control (already stored into receiver), press the operating key for 2 seconds;
c) On the new remote control to be stored, press again the same key pressed to the point a) for 2 seconds.
Erasing of a code in memory
a) Press the P2 key on the receiver and verify that the red led goes on with fixed light.
b) Press a key on the remote control that must be erased for 1 sec. or digit a code on the RTA2 keyboard or swipe the tag on TRP1 and verify that the green led on the receiver goes on.
c) On releasing the key, the green led on the receiver will go off thus signalling that the code has been erased.
Total erasing of codes in memory
To erase all the codes in memory, press the P2 key on the receiver until the red led goes on (approx. 5 Sec.).
OPERATION WITH SECRET KEY PROTOCOL (SMARTY433/868 remotes, RTA2/8 Keyboard)
***Attention: before any operation, the receiver must be set in "closed mode", positioning the Dip Switch 5 in OFF.
The remote controls must be programmed before by the programmer (Secret Key). See the programmer instructions for more details. Once that the remote controls have been programmed,
the first remote control inserted in the memory assigns a “Device / Installer code” to the receiver (univocal code of the programmer) and an “Installation code”. Thereafter the receiver will
accept only and exclusively remote controls with the codes above mentioned (programmed with the same Installer code).
Manual insertion of a code in memory
a) The remote control must be programmed with L0428R or Leb Manager, whereas the RTA2 keyboard must be set in Secret Key mode.
b) Press the P1 key on the receiver and verify that the red led goes on with fixed light.
c) Press a key on the remote control to be stored for 1 sec. or digit a code on the RTA2 keyboard and verify that the green led on the receiver goes on.
d) On releasing the key, the green led on the receiver will go off thus signalling that the code has been stored.
Attention : the receiver will associate the channels for each key of the remote control in automatic mode (key 1 = relay 1, key 2 = relay 2, etc.), whereas for the RTA2 keyboard the
channel will depend by the setting selected on board
Remotely insertion of a code in memory
a) The remote control must be programmed with L0428R or Leb Manager.
b) Place the remote control to be stored in the operating range of the receiver and press a key for at least 1 second. Press a second time to verify the correct insertion.
c) The code will be automatically inserted in the first position of receiver memory available.
N.B. : after the programming of the remote control, the remotely insertion of the code must be carried out within the first 8 pushes (commands). After the insertion of the code, for the first 8
commands it is necessary to keep pressed for a longer time the key.
Attention: the code will be memorized on the relay corresponding to the key pressed on the remote control (key 1 = relay 1, key 2 = relay 2, etc.).
Remotely replacement of a code in memory
a) The remote control must be programmed with L0428R or Leb Manager.
b) Place the remote control to be stored in the operating range of the receiver and press a key for at least 1 second. Press a second time to verify the correct insertion.
c) The new code will replace an established code in memory.
N.B. : after the programming of the remote control, the remotely replacement of the code must be carried out within the first 8 pushes (commands). After the insertion of the code, for the first 8
commands it is necessary to keep pressed for a longer time the key.
Manual erasing of a code in memory
a) Press the P2 key on the receiver and verify that the red led goes on with fixed light.
b) Press a key on the remote control to be erased for at least 1 second or digit a code on the RTA2 keyboard and verify that the green led on the receiver goes on.
c) On releasing the key, the green led on the receiver will go off thus signalling that the code has been erased.
Total erasing of codes in memory
To erase all the codes in memory, press the P2 key on the receiver until the red led goes on (approx. 5 Sec.).
Warning : At the end of procedure, the receiver is restored to the initial setting in factory.
SETTINGS

Dip switch 6 - Place in ON to enable the data transfer from or into the backup memory RSK4M.
By means of P1 key it is possible to copy the content of the receiver into the backup memory. Once that the P1 key has been pressed, the red led DL1 goes on for around 20
seconds. When the transfer procedure has been completed, the green led DL2 blinks and the led DL1 goes off.
By means of P2 key it is possible to copy the content of the backup memory RSK4M into the receiver. Once that the P2 key has been pressed, the red led DL1 goes on for around 20
seconds. When the transfer procedure has been completed, the green led DL2 blinks and the led DL1 goes off.
Attention: once that the backup procedure has been completed, it is recommended to restore the Dip Switch 6 in OFF and remove the memory card from the receiver.
