Usage Features:
Initial Setup:
Users are guided through an initial setup process including language selection, network connection, Google Account setup, Google Services, screen lock, and Google Assistant. Touch Screen Interaction:
The touch screen is designed for light finger touches. Users should avoid pushing too firmly with sharp objects or using it with gloved/wet hands to prevent damage or diminished functionality.
Basic Gestures:
- Tap: Lightly touch and release an item.
- Double tap: Quickly tap an item twice.
- Swipe: Touch and drag the screen up/down or left/right.
- Drag: Touch, drag to a desired position, and release.
- Pinch: Use two fingers to pinch-out (zoom in) or pinch-in (zoom out).
- Scroll: Swipe up/down/left/right to navigate content that doesn't fit the display.
Power Management:
- Power On: Press and hold the power button until the animation appears, then slide to unlock.
- Power Off: Long press the power button, then tap "Power off."

System Navigation:
By default, the LUME PAD uses 3-button navigation (Triangle for Back, Circle for Home, Square for Switch apps).
- Back: Returns to the previous screen or closes the notification panel.
- Home: Goes to the Home screen; long-press for Google Assistant.
- Switch apps: Displays recently used applications; swipe left/right to switch, swipe up to close an app, or "Clear all" to close all.

Auto-Rotate Screen:
Automatically rotates the screen between portrait and landscape based on device movement. This can be toggled in Settings > Display > Auto-rotate screen, Settings > Accessibility > Auto-rotate screen, or from the Quick Settings panel.

App Drawer:
By default, the app drawer is hidden. It can be enabled in Settings > Display > App Drawer > 'Show App Drawer'.
Home Screen Customization:
- Status Bar: Displays time, notifications (left), and status icons (right).

- Home Screen Page Indicator: Shows the number of home screens; tap to navigate.

- Uninstall Apps: Long-press an item and drag to "Uninstall." Pre-installed apps like Settings cannot be deleted.
- Hide Apps: Tap and hold an app, select "App info," then "Disable." Re-enable in Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps.

View device information (name, legal info, model, Android version, IP address, Wi-Fi MAC, Bluetooth address, uptime, build number, certification) in Settings > About tablet. The LUME PAD does not support IMEI.

APK Install:
Supports third-party Android applications. Files can be downloaded from Leia appstore, uploaded via adb, or downloaded from cloud.
- Via Android File Transfer (Mac/Windows): Connect the LUME PAD via USB-C, select "File Transfer," and drag files.
- Via USB-C Flash Drive: Plug the flash drive directly into the port and download files.
- Developer Mode: Enable by tapping "Build number" 7 times in Settings > About Tablet > About Device, then turn on USB debugging in Settings > System > Developer options.
Maintenance Features:
Battery Management and Charging:
- Charge to 100% before first use.
- If battery drops to 0%, charge for at least 5 minutes before restarting.
- Avoid charging in high temperatures (above 45°C / 113°F).
- Lithium battery does not need to be fully discharged before charging.
- For extended storage, fully charge every two weeks to prevent over-discharge.
- Do not short circuit, crush, disassemble, or dispose of in fire.
- Do not use if immersed in water.
- Battery is non-removable.
- Use the included 5V 3A (15W) charger for optimal charging.
Disposal and Recycling:
Dispose of devices and batteries properly using approved recycling services due to potentially hazardous materials. Do not throw batteries in trash.
Safe Handling:
- Avoid extreme heat (above 45°C / 113°F) or cold (below 0°C / 32°F).
- Operating temperature range: 0°C / 32°F to 35°C / 95°F.
- Do not store in extremely hot areas (e.g., parked car) to prevent screen malfunction, overheating, or battery leakage/explosion.
- Avoid direct sunlight exposure to prevent screen damage.
- Keep away from children to prevent choking hazards from small components.
- Prevent children from sucking or biting the device to avoid water damage or puncturing.
- Keep the device dry; liquids can corrode circuits. If wet, turn off immediately and dry.
- Avoid high external pressures.
- Never use a damaged battery; seek technical support for replacement.
- Avoid dropping the device or battery.
- Stop using immediately if unauthorized/restricted use, unusual smells, smoke/liquids, or overheating occurs.
Cleaning Solutions:
- Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or strong detergents.
- Wipe with a soft cloth slightly dampened in mild soap and water solution, then dry with a lint-free cloth.
- DO NOT APPLY CLEANING SOLUTIONS TO THE CHARGING TERMINAL OR COMPONENTS.
- Read the operation manual carefully.
- Do not place the tablet in hot, cold, dusty, or wet environments.
- Avoid dropping or hitting the screen with hard objects.
- Avoid operating in dry environments to prevent static electricity.
- Charge when the indicator is not green or when the tablet automatically shuts down.
- Do not place heavy objects on the tablet.
- Export files correctly when using as a mobile hard disk to prevent data loss.
- Memory capacity displayed may be less than standard due to software usage and decimal places.
- If memory is corrupted, factory reset is recommended.
- Laser Certification: Class-1 lasers are safe for eyes, even with optical instruments, due to very low output power.
