Instructions for the installation of
rmware
Step 1:
Check the version of the rmware currently installed
Leica recommends updating your camera rmware when the
installed version is an earlier version than the current update.
1. Turn the camera on.
2. Press the menu control button marked “SETUP” (1.21) and
select the menu item “FIRMWARE” (5.35) with the click
wheel (1.18)
3. Press the click wheel. The current rmware versions for the
camera and lens are displayed.
4. After rmware installation, the camera rmware version
should be displayed as follows:
Camera S2
Version number 1.0.0.16
Step 2: Downloading the latest rmware
1. Download and save the le FW_S2_1_0_0_16.S2 7.48 to
your computer/desktop.
2. Check the le size. Repeat the download if the size is die-
rent from the le size indicated above.
