How to fix a pilot light that won't stay lit on my Lennox Hearth Products Indoor Fireplace?
    • V
      Veronica HoAug 20, 2025
If the pilot light on your Lennox Hearth Products Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit after following the lighting instructions, it could be due to a defective pilot generator (thermocouple). Ensure the pilot flame is correctly impinging on the thermocouple. Clean and/or adjust the pilot for maximum flame impingement on the thermocouple. Also, check that the connection between the valve and thermocouple is tight and secure.

Why does my Lennox Hearth Products MPD33RNM Indoor Fireplace frequently have pilot/burner outages?
    • R
      Rebecca RiceAug 25, 2025
If you're experiencing frequent pilot/burner outages with your Lennox Hearth Products Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to the pilot flame being too low or blowing too high. This can cause the pilot/valve safety to drop out. Clean and/or adjust the pilot flame to ensure maximum flame impingement on the thermocouple.

      Leah JacobsSep 4, 2025
If the pilot light won't stay lit in your Lennox Hearth Products Indoor Fireplace after you've carefully followed the lighting instructions, it could be due to a defective pilot generator, also known as a thermocouple. Ensure the pilot flame is directly impinging on the thermocouple. Clean and adjust the pilot to maximize the flame's contact with the thermocouple. Also, make sure the connection between the valve and the thermocouple is tight and secure.

    • B
      bradcantrellSep 8, 2025
If you're experiencing frequent pilot or burner outages with your Lennox Hearth Products Indoor Fireplace, it could be that the pilot flame is either too low or too high (blowing), causing the pilot/valve safety to shut down. To resolve this, clean and/or adjust the pilot flame to ensure maximum flame impingement on the thermocouple.

What to do if the spark igniter won't light the pilot on my Lennox Hearth Products MPD33RNM?
    • T
      Tammy GarrettNov 12, 2025
If the spark igniter on your Lennox Hearth Products Indoor Fireplace isn't lighting the pilot, here's what to check: 1. **Check for a spark:** Look for a spark at the electrode and pilot. If there's no spark and the electrode wire is connected properly, the igniter might be defective and needs replacement. 2. **Defective or misaligned electrode:** Try lighting the pilot with a match. If it lights, the gas mixture might be off, needing a longer purge. If it still doesn't light, check the gap at the electrode and pilot; it should be about 1/8 inch for a strong spark. If the gap is correct, the pilot might need replacing. 3. **Gas supply pressure:** Ensure the inlet gas pressure is within the limits specified on the rating plate. 4. **Pilot orifice:** A plugged pilot orifice can prevent ...

Why is my Lennox Hearth Products MPD33RNM pilot lit but the burner won't ignite?
    • M
      Miss Lisa SawyerNov 16, 2025
If the pilot light is on, but no gas is going to the burner on your Lennox Hearth Products Indoor Fireplace, even with the valve knob and wall switch in the “ON” position, consider the following: * **Wall switch and wiring:** Check the wall switch and its wiring for proper connections. You can bypass the wall switch by using a jumper wire across its terminals. If the burner then comes on, the wall switch is defective and needs replacement. If the switch is okay, try jumping the wires across the wall switch wires at the valve. If the burner comes on, the wires are faulty, or the connections are bad. * **Thermopile voltage:** The thermopile may not be generating enough millivoltage. Use a millivolt meter to check the thermopile terminals on the gas valve. With the optional wall switch “...

What to do if the pilot is burning but there's no gas to the burner in my Lennox Hearth Products Indoor Fireplace?
    • J
      jaustinNov 27, 2025
If the pilot light is burning but no gas is reaching the burner, with the valve knob and wall switch in the “ON” position, the issue could stem from several causes. First, the wall switch or its wiring might be defective; inspect them for secure connections. You can bypass the wall switch by using a jumper wire across its terminals; if the burner ignites, the switch needs replacement. If the switch is functional, try bypassing the wires at the valve with a jumper wire; if the burner then ignites, the wiring is likely faulty or poorly connected. Another potential cause is that the thermopile isn't generating sufficient millivoltage. Use a millivolt meter to assess the thermopile at the gas valve terminals; it should register at least 325 millivolts with the optional wall switch in the “OFF”...
