Replacing the system board
Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repairs before reading the Important Product
Information Guide.
1. Remove the monitor stand. See “Replacing the monitor stand” on page 20.
2. Remove the LCD panel. See “Removing the LCD panel” on page 22.
3. Remove the heat sink. See “Replacing the heat sink” on page 39.
4. Remove the microprocessor. See “Replacing the microprocessor” on page 47.
5. Remove the memory module. See “Replacing the memory module” on page 41.
6. Remove the Wi-Fi card. See “Replacing the Wi-Fi card” on page 50.
7. Remove the M.2 solid-state drive. See “Replacing the M.2 solid-state drive” on page 43.
8. Record the cable routing and cable connections, and then disconnect all cables from the system board.
See “System board” on page 4.
9. Remove the screws that secure the system board to remove the system board.
Note: Carefully handle the system board by its edges.
