the GFCI receptacle must be Listed and
marked as Weather Resistant (WR)
• For installation in wet locations, protect
the GFCI receptacle with a cover plate or
outlet box hood suitable for wet locations
that will keep both the receptacle and
plug face dry.

national and local electric codes.
