Digital inputs can be se-
lected for the Record/Zone
2 outpus under the follow-
ing conditions:
A digitial input must be as-
signed to the input via the
Setup menu.
The input must have
Record/Zone 2 set to DIGI-
TAL.*
The input must be selected
for Main outputs.
RECORD/ZONE 2 Control
mode allows use of the
DC-1 in another room while
the room in which the DC-1
is located remains muted.
To enter RECORD/ZONE
2 Control mode, turn on the
DC-1 by pressing the
RECORD/ZONE 2 key on
the remote.
Pressing any key other than
the input selectors, MUTE,
VOLUME or BALANCE will
display the message:
ZONE 2 MODE ENABLED
KEY INVALID
To exit, press OFF.
In normal operation, press-
ing RECORD/ZONE 2 as-
signs (or de-assigns) the
current input selection to
the Record/Zone 2 outputs
without affecting the Main
outputs.
To access remote control
Zone 2 functions, press and
hold ACCY, then press
RECORD/ZONE 2. To re-
store remote control of the
main outputs, press and
hold ACCY, then press
SELECT.
Holding down RECORD/
ZONE 2 allows Volume and
Mute adjustments to affect
only the Record/Zone 2 out-
puts.
Disables mute
Sets Main and Zone 2 volume
to -30dB
Centers Balance controls
Loads the Pro Logic Effect
Press and hold ACCY while pressing DONE to activate a
"You Are Here" mode which:
RECORD/ZONE 2 Control from the normal operating mode
Exclusive RECORD/ZONE 2 Control Mode Remote Control ACCY Functions
* TAPE and VCR1 are normally
"BLOCKED" but can be changed in the
Setup Input Configuration menu.
Selects the VCR1 input
Activates On-Screen display
with 2 second timeout
Sets Remote Trigger ON
Sets all tone controls to 0dB or
OFF
VCR1 _____________
VCR2 _____________
V-DISC ____________
TV _____________
AUX _____________
CD _____________
TUNER _____________
TAPE _____________
Note any Effects you have
assigned to the remote con-
trol input keys.
Input Effect Assignments
*To clear an assigned effect, while holding down ACCY, press BYPASS, then
press the associated input button.
