Why is the flame yellow or orange on my LF allen + roth GAD17102L Outdoor Fireplace?
    • D
      Daniel LeeAug 9, 2025
If the flame of your LF Outdoor Fireplace is yellow or orange, it could be due to a few reasons. If the burner is new, it might have residual manufacturing oils, so try burning the fire pit for 15 minutes and then check the flame again. Another cause could be spider webs or an insect nest in the burner/venturi tube, which would require cleaning. Lastly, check the alignment of the valve to the burner/venturi tube and ensure they are properly engaged.

What to do if the burner will not light with a match on my LF allen + roth GAD17102L Outdoor Fireplace?
    • S
      Stephanie EstradaAug 14, 2025
If the burner of your LF Outdoor Fireplace won't light with a match, there could be several reasons. First, check if the LP gas tank is empty. If it is, refill or replace it. If the tank isn't empty, there might be an obstruction of gas flow, so clear the burner/venturi tube and check for any bent or kinked hoses. Also, make sure the coupling nut and regulator are fully connected and that the burner is properly engaged with the valve. Spider webs or insect nests in the burner/venturi tube can also cause this issue, so clean the tube. Clogged or blocked burner ports should be cleaned as well. Finally, if none of these steps work, the thermocouple may not be operating correctly.

Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow in my LF Outdoor Fireplace?
    • P
      Pamela CarneyAug 20, 2025
If you experience a sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in your LF Outdoor Fireplace, the first thing to check is whether you are out of gas; if so, exchange, refill, or replace the LP gas tank. Alternatively, the overfilling prevention device may have been activated. To resolve this, turn the control knob to “OFF”, wait 30 seconds, and relight the fire pit. If the flames are still too low, reset the overfilling prevention device by turning the control knob(s) to “OFF”, closing the LP gas tank valve, disconnecting the regulator, turning the control knobs to (HIGH), waiting two minutes, turning the control knobs to “OFF”, reconnecting the regulator (being careful not to fully open the valve), and then relighting the fire pit.

What to do if the flame keeps going out on my LF allen + roth GAD17102L Outdoor Fireplace?
    • J
      Jorge DanielAug 25, 2025
If the flame of your LF Outdoor Fireplace goes out, it could be due to high or gusting winds; avoid using the fire pit in such conditions. Another reason might be that you're low on LP gas, so consider exchanging, refilling, or replacing the LP gas tank. The excess flow valve might also have tripped; in this case, refer to the instructions for 'Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height'. Finally, the thermocouple may not be operating correctly.

    • U
      umurphyAug 29, 2025
If you notice an irregular flame pattern where the flame doesn't run the full length of the burner on your LF Outdoor Fireplace, it's likely that the burner ports are clogged or blocked. Clean the burner ports to resolve this issue.

Why won't the burner light using the igniter on my LF Outdoor Fireplace?
    • P
      pcarpenterNov 3, 2025
If the burner of your LF Outdoor Fireplace won't light with the igniter, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the LP gas tank valve is open and the regulator is securely attached. If that's not the issue, the LP gas tank might be low or empty, requiring a refill or replacement. A gas leak could also be the culprit; if suspected, close the LP gas tank valve, wait five minutes, and then follow the leak-checking procedure. Other potential causes include a dead battery in the igniter (replace the “AA” battery), wet electrodes or burners (wipe them dry), a cracked or broken electrode (contact Customer Care for replacement parts), a loose or disconnected wire (reconnect it or contact Customer Care), a shorting wire (contact Customer Care), a malfunctioning thermocouple (try cleaning a...
