Usage Features
The air conditioner offers various features for user comfort and convenience:
- Remote Control: Both wired and optional wireless remote controllers are available. The wired remote displays operation indication, set temperature, fan speed, ON/OFF, operation mode, air flow, subfunction, function setting, ventilation, reservation, and room temperature. The wireless remote adds Plasma function, Jet Cool, LCD luminosity adjustment, Smart Clean, Clear All timer, Auto Swing, Horizontal Airflow Direction Control, Timer and Time Setting, Room Temperature Checking, °C/°F switch, and Reset.
- Temperature Setting: Users can set the desired outlet air temperature (wired remote) or room temperature (wireless remote).
- Fan Speed Control: Multiple fan speed options are available to adjust airflow intensity.
- Operation Modes: Choose from Cooling, Auto, Dehumidification, Heating (for heat pump models), and Fan modes to suit different climate needs.
- Jet Cool: A feature on the wireless remote for rapid cooling at super high fan speed.
- Plasma Purification (Optional): Available on some models via the wireless remote to start or stop the plasma-purification function.
- Smart Clean (Optional): Initiates or stops the smart clean function for improved hygiene.
- Airflow Direction Control: Auto swing and horizontal airflow direction control (optional) allow users to set the desired airflow direction.
- Timer Function: Set start or stop times for operation, and activate sleep mode (wireless remote).
- Forced Operation: A manual ON/OFF button on the unit allows for basic operation in case the remote control is unavailable. This mode operates in cooling at high fan speed and resets in 18 minutes.
- Auto Restart: After a power failure, the unit automatically resumes previous operating conditions. The fan starts at a low speed, followed by the compressor after 2.5-3 minutes, then the fan speed returns to its previous setting. This function is enabled by default but can be disabled/enabled via a specific button sequence on the ON/OFF button.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of the air conditioner:
- Cleaning the Unit: The indoor unit should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Harsh detergents, solvents, or water hotter than 40°C should not be used to prevent deformation, discoloration, or damage.
- Air Filters:
- Frequency: Check and clean air filters every 2 weeks or more often if necessary.
- Procedure: Remove filters as per diagrams, clean with a vacuum cleaner or warm soapy water. For stubborn dirt, use a detergent solution in lukewarm water. Dry thoroughly in the shade before reinstalling.
- Plasma Filters:
- Frequency: Check and clean plasma filters every 3 months or more often if necessary.
- Procedure: Remove filters (after air filters), clean with a vacuum cleaner. If dirty, wash with water and dry well in the shade before reinstalling.
- Safety Note: Do not touch the plasma filter within 10 seconds of opening the inlet grille to avoid electric shock.
- Deodorizer Filters:
- Frequency: Remove and expose to direct sunlight for 2 hours to refresh.
- Procedure: Reinsert into original position after exposure.
- Replacing Picture/Photograph: The front panel allows for easy replacement of the displayed image. This involves turning off power, opening the front panel, removing the existing picture/mat, placing the new image between the mat and the old picture (or directly if no mat is used), and securing the panel.
- Long-Term Storage: If the air conditioner will not be used for an extended period:
- Operate in Air Circulation mode for 2-3 hours to dry internal mechanisms.
- Turn off the circuit breaker.
- Remove batteries from the remote controller.
- Re-use After Storage:
- Clean and reinstall air filters.
- Check that indoor/outdoor unit air inlets and outlets are not blocked.
- Verify that the ground wire is correctly connected.
Safety Precautions: Always turn off the main power, disconnect the circuit breaker, and unplug the power cord before performing any maintenance. Contact authorized service technicians for repairs or complex maintenance.
