What to do if my LG I38TKF does not work?
    • J
      Jillian WilsonAug 21, 2025
If your LG Air Conditioner isn't working, first, check if the power cord is properly plugged into the outlet and that the power isolators are switched on. If that's not the issue, check the fuse to see if it has exploded, and replace it if necessary. Also, verify whether the circuit breaker has tripped. If a power failure occurred, turn off the air conditioner and wait 3 minutes after the power is restored before turning it back on. Ensure that the batteries in the remote controller are correctly inserted or replace them. Finally, make sure the air conditioner wasn't turned off automatically by a preset timer; if so, simply turn it back on. If the voltage is too high or too low, check if the circuit breaker has tripped.

Why is my LG Air Conditioner making noise?
    • J
      jared11Sep 3, 2025
If you hear noise or vibration from your LG Air Conditioner, a clicking sound when the unit starts or stops is normal due to the movement of the reversing valve. Creaking sounds from the plastic parts are also normal as they expand or shrink with temperature changes. A flowing or blowing sound indicates refrigerant moving through the air conditioner, which is also normal. These noises should stop on their own.

Why is my LG Air Conditioner discharging mist?
    • A
      ann52Sep 1, 2025
If you notice mist discharging from the air outlet on the indoor unit of your LG Air Conditioner, it is because the cooled air is creating mist. This will disappear as the room temperature decreases.

If you can't adjust the temperature on your LG Air Conditioner, it's likely because the Fan Mode or Jet Mode is selected. Switch to an operation mode that allows temperature adjustment.

      Robin SimonAug 29, 2025
If your LG Air Conditioner is not emitting warm air, especially when heating mode starts and the vane is almost closed, this is normal. Wait until the unit generates enough warm air to blow through the indoor unit. Also, if the outdoor unit is in Defrosting Mode to remove ice/frost, wait approximately 15 minutes for this process to complete. Keep in mind that if the outside temperature is too low, the heating effect may not be sufficient.

      Paul MorrisAug 28, 2025
If you notice water leaking from the outdoor unit of your LG Air Conditioner during heating operations, it's likely due to condensed water dropping from the heat exchanger. You'll need to install a drain hose under the base pan; contact the installer for this.

      Jacob WilliamsAug 27, 2025
If your LG air conditioner isn't working, first, check if it's plugged in and the power isolators are switched on. Replace the fuse or check the circuit breaker if a fuse has exploded or the power supply is blocked. If there was a power failure, wait 3 minutes after power is restored before turning the air conditioner on. Also, check the circuit breaker if the voltage is too high or too low. Ensure the air conditioner wasn't turned off automatically and that the batteries in the remote controller are correctly inserted or need replacing.

If your LG Air Conditioner stops during operation, check the timer settings to ensure the unit hasn't been programmed to turn off. Also, if there was a power failure, wait for the power to be restored. If the Auto Restart function is enabled, the unit will resume operation a few minutes after power returns.

Why is my LG I38TKF not emitting cool air?
    • W
      William CarrollAug 23, 2025
If your LG Air Conditioner isn't emitting cool air, make sure that curtains, blinds, or furniture are not blocking the front of the unit, and that the air filter is clean (clean it every 2 weeks). Ensure no cold air escapes through ventilation points. If the room temperature is too high, use Jet Mode for faster cooling. Set the desired temperature lower than the current temperature. Avoid using heat sources nearby and ensure the unit is not set to Fan Mode but to cooling operation. Keep in mind that on extremely hot days, the cooling effect may be reduced.
